Battery Drainer

I bought three of these for my house. I put the best batteries you can buy in them, i dont even use the door for a I live in another home full time. The batteries are dead by a month. This has been going on for 2 1/2 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're here to help! The batteries can drain quicker than expected due to your lock's installation, router type and distance from the lock. To help extend the Halo's battery life, please try the steps below:
1. Use name-brand alkaline batteries and please do not use lithium and rechargeable batteries.

3. Recalibrate the latch, check door alignment and jamb hole depth: https://www.kwikset.com/support/answers/how-do-i-check-door-alignment-for-my-smart-lock

Fingerprint technology isn’t there.

Purchased three years ago, has been replaced under warranty. Fingerprint SUCKS. Does not like cooler weather,in Florida so it’s not that cold

1. Check the cable connection. Open the door and place the latch in the locked position. Remove the key, then unscrew and remove the interior assembly of the lock. Ensure the cable is securely plugged in, then reattach the interior assembly.
2. Perform manual handing with fresh batteries. Follow this guide: https://youtu.be/jhE5Nilog54
3. Clean and reprogram fingerprints. Wipe the fingerprint reader clean and reprogram fingerprints using clean, dry hands.

Super Convenient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love my new Halo Touch Contemporary Fingerprint Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Lock! It makes getting in my house so much easier and quicker, especially when I have a handful of items I'm carrying. It is a definite plus also because my husband used to always knock because he would be carrying so much after work to get in. Now he just uses the fingerprint sensor and we no longer have to let him in. It is also perfect for my kids when coming home after school if they forgot their key. You can store up to 100 different fingerprints and if need be, you can also use a key to gain access. Installation was pretty easy. The directions were easy to understand and all of the parts are labeled very clearly. I like the fact you can lock and unlock from the app if you need to. This makes me feel safe knowing my door is locked if need be. The design is great and looks very nice. I have definitely received a ton of compliments since installing this lock. I definitely recommend the Halo Touch Contemporary Fingerprint Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Lock. It provides a safe and convenient way to access your home.

Great Lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little lock has definitely come in handy. We set it up with each of the kids as they tend to lose their housekey quite a bit. Day after installing they were able to get into the house without worrying about finding their key. Installation was very simple and easy to complete.

Great big upgrade to my existing lock

I already had a kwikset with a number pad before this, and it was fine. Had many features, and was safe and secure. Swapped it out with this lock and I love it. The touch ID pad works great and it's really fast. We tested out other finger prints and they were rejected the wifi feature is very easy to set up, and I can lock or unlock my door where I am with a data signal. I already had to use that feature as my neighbor needed to put something in my house while we were away. Worked smoothly.

I have dreaded this moment, afraid she would loose it or simply forget where she placed it. I had the wonderful opportunity to try the new Halo Touch Contemporary Fingerprint Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Lock by Kwickset. The color is black so it it a good fit to match with my door. It was not a challenge to install or to program. I did read all the instructions throughly. I would recommend this lock to anyone with children or who would like to have a hands free entry.

Easy to install, provides sense of security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only is this easy to install, it works from your phone via an app that is user-friendly and effective. The other day, I forgot to lock the door because I was in a rush and was able to lock things down from my phone. The feeling of security, knowing that nobody without my fingerprint can access my home, is priceless. Amazing lock. Amazing technology. Can’t wait to outfit the whole house with these.
