[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would highly recommend the Halo Touch Contemporary Fingerprint Wi-Fi Enabled, Smart Lock, for Kwikset if you are looked to update your locks/security. The set was easy to set up and program with the downloadable app. Each person in your home can set up their own account. The app also has many options for setting up the lock and how you want it to work.
The system has a heavy-duty look and feels, it also comes with batteries. It also has a smart key system in place so it can be used in many ways.

Poorly designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Significant flaw in the design. The lock does not sit flush with the door. I thought it was an issue with the way I installed the deadbolt (at an angle or something), but after messing with the lock for almost an hour, realized the bolt that holds the exterior part of the lock in place does not hold the lock/plate flush with the door. There is a significant gap ~1/16” between the back plate on the inside and the door. I ended up having to put clear tape to build up the thickness in order to stabilize the interior part of the lock.
The deadbolt itself is very sensitive. If the deadbolt is even slightly off from the strike plate, it gives a jam error. Not sure how quickly it will burn through the battery at this rate. Definitely one of the more tedious lock installs I’ve had.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Halo Touch fits a door with a thickness between 1-3/8" to 2-1/4". Thick door kits are required for doors between 1-7/8" to 2-1/4" thick. Please check your door thickness, and if a thick door kit is needed, we're more than happy to ship one to you. Also, If the lock keeps jamming, we recommend checking that your door is properly aligned and that the door frame jamb hole is one inch deep and clear of debris for the latch to extend fully into the jamb hole. Next, perform the door handing process to recalibrate the latch. Our team of lock experts is available to assist you further at 1-800-327-5625.

Nice lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this really nice Kwikset Halo touch fingerprint lock in the mail and it is the best security lock I have ever had. It’s finger print feature is absolutely the best and will hold up to 100 fingerprints and also has a key lock for added security in case something goes wrong with the touch pad. It is really made well and we love the black color. You can also operate the lock from the app which is a very nice feature for safety. It has a rekey feature to prevent from breaking. It is also pick resistance from thief’s trying to pick the lock. This is a very nice product and will definitely use again if needed.It is also very easy to install.

Working as hoped

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lock is a nice looking simple design that was easy to install and no harder to connect to Alexa than other devices. The phone app works and is nice to have. There have been a couple times the finger reader hasn't worked and if you are looking for high end security, you probably want a better interior lock. Overall though, its great for what it is.
