Gen 2 Burrs Are Exceptional

I had the original Ode Grinder, and purchased this one to try the new generation 2 brew burrs. They are exceptional for the medium to darker roast coffees that I favor. You get a really balanced flavor with good body and no bitterness and they shine with a wide variety of darker roasted beans. The improvements to reduce static electricity from making a mess do seem to help compared to the original Ode grinder as well, which is a welcome update.

I am a coffee geek. I have had countless grinders over the years and currently own eight... several to be sold or given away soon. M - F, I make pour over coffee and this grinder is perfect. FYI, my espresso grinder is an HG-1. Great, consistent quality easy to adjust based on been type/roast level. Functionally, the foot print is small, heavy/good quality, fast grind (not a heat problem), quiet, static is not a problem. Love it!

Good for normal beans, not great for oily beans

Works with normal coffee beans. Did not work well with Vietnamese coffee beans. Got clogged easily and stopped grinding even though beans were still in it.
