I'm pretty happy with this grinder! There seems to be little to no retention, and microfines are minimal on a finer grind setting (courser grind has next to no fines). The anti static feature is awesome, and I actually like the catch cup with the fins to help when pouring out the grinds. My only complaint is that the metal faceplate was rattling like a jackhammer when grinding until I stuck a little plastic spacer between it and the body, and now the rattle is gone.
A precise grind for all types of coffee. Lacks power
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first generation was the best grinder I've ever used. Generation 2 is even better. No mess, precision grinding and it's so quiet. I love this grinder so much that I've given as a gift to some of my family in Seattle - coffee town USA. They love it too!
It does what it suppose to do and it does it well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works fairly well so far, but very disapointed at the extremely loose and rattling face plate. Details matter.. It's a bit of a bummer. I'll try to fix it myself as I don't want to go through any painful return/exchange process.
