Every pick I had on the original Kickstarter version was fixed in the Gen 2. Hopper size increase etc.

I supported the original Ode through a crowdsourcing campaign, so suffice it to say I've had an interest in this grinder from the very beginning. That said, there were a couple of irritations I had with the grinder, both of which were beautifully addressed in this Gen 2 model. For those that are on the fence or considering upgrading from an OG Ode to this Gen 2 model, let me make it easy for you -- do it! You absolutely will not regret it. To date, this is the single best value in drip coffee grinders on the market. Period. I absolutely love everything about this grinder and look forward to using it every day.

Awesome. I was second guessing ordering this because I read that you do get a lot more sweetness from conical grinders but I have not found that to be an issue at all. The grind consistency on this is amazing and the most underrated benefit is I don’t have a SINGLE coffee grind anywhere to be found in proximity to the grinder. Totally eliminates static and keeps your counter spotless. Don’t hesitate - I should have bought this the minute it was released!

It's quieter than our last grinder: I went with the standard burr instead of the "upgraded" one so to not compromise the quietness. It doesn't spray grounds all over our counter like our old grinder used to. It seems easy to clean and has been beautiful to work with every morning.
