From the useful guide to grind settings on the lid to the grinder turning itself off once the grind is complete, there hasn't been a single feature that disappointed. Every pick I had on the original Kickstarter version was fixed in the Gen 2. Hopper size increase etc.

I supported the original Ode through a crowdsourcing campaign, so suffice it to say I've had an interest in this grinder from the very beginning. That said, there were a couple of irritations I had with the grinder, both of which were beautifully addressed in this Gen 2 model. For those that are on the fence or considering upgrading from an OG Ode to this Gen 2 model, let me make it easy for you -- do it! You absolutely will not regret it. To date, this is the single best value in drip coffee grinders on the market. Period. I absolutely love everything about this grinder and look forward to using it every day.
