I was hesitant on buying the original Ode and am so glad I waited. This grinder is so quiet and does not make a mess. Work flow is great and my coffee is tasting better than ever.

Elegant, simple, low retention and static, great range of grind sizes. Great flavor profile from the burrs. Overall, a massive upgrade from the original Ode.

Improvements on the Gen 1

The reduced static, larger hopper and catch bin, and removal of the beep noise are all improvements on the Gen 1, not to much mention the better burrs.

Better than Gen 1

I returned the Gen 1 Grinder because it stopped working and to be honest I was almost glad it broke because of the mess it made. Gen 2 does not make a mess. Whatever they did to stop the static works. I’ve only had it for a short time. I would give it 5 stars if I new it wouldn’t break down.

Perfect for me

I bought the Fellow Ode Gen 2 grinder to replace an ancient Breville burr grinder. The Ode is so much faster and quieter than the 15-year-old Breville. The Ode is a perfect grinder for me to use to make my pour over, Clever Dripper or Aeropress ... whichever method I choose in the morning. I pay a premium to purchase specialty coffee, so it was important to be able to achieve my perfect grind size. Well done Fellow!
