Love this grinder

I bought this when I bought my Fellow coffee maker. Boy am I glad I did. This grinder is all that I could ever want in a burr grinder. It is quiet, easy to use and clean, and comes with an insert for grinding and collecting espresso beans.
In a word, this machine is perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Actually great in Japan!

I live in Japan and this is quiet enough and small enough that my Japanese wife loves it! It just needs two or three seconds to grind and the pitch of the machine is low enough that it blends in with other outside sounds and doesn’t sound like you’re making special additional noise. Brining it to Japan from the U.S., I actually got stopped by customs, and while I had to explain it was a coffee grinder for coffee beans, and they x-rayed it, O had absolutely no problems bringing it through!

I have the Opus Conical Burr Grinder which is not what is pictured. So far it's done a great job grinding my beans. I can't get over how quiet it is!

Almost perfect

This is a great grinder. Looks nice on the counter, grinds well - coffee tastes great! The only thing that I wish was different is that I have to clean it every few days or the beans get stuck and stop grinding until I clean it. But I would say it’s worth it! My fave grinder I have has thus far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A trusty grinder

Efficient and relatively quiet - like the design of the cup that catches and then pours the ground coffee.

Jams easily - but nice grind

Grinds well but isn't as "clean" as I thought - still lots of fly away grinds to clean up. Biggest complaint is it has jammed twice - and we only grind about 50 grams total a day. We had to do quite a bit of research on reddit to try to prevent jamming. I bought this because it seemed like a better option than the one we had been using for about 7 years that finally broke (but never jammed once!). It looks good on the counter is fairly quiet and fast. Not sure I would recommend it fully to a family member though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A joy to use

Everything about this grinder feels very solid and well-built. The knob has a satisfying tactile feel, the grind knock and ionizer do a good job of preventing fines buildup even after a few months of usage with pretty accurate yields. The catch cup also snaps magnetically nicely into place and includes a silicone lid which I assume prevents some grind splash back; the fit is just slight off for the cup (it's not a tight seal) but it's not really an issue during use. Grind noise is acceptably quiet and not unpleasant to listen to. I do wish there was somewhere better to store the cleaning brush though; I just leave mine sitting on top right behind the hopper.
With the normal burrs, the coffee from the Ode Gen 2 has been very good and very consistent. I mostly use AeroPress and a Chemex and it has done great, a decent step up from the Aergrind I was daily driving before (certainly easier to use). For medium to light roast coffee, the Ode has done well at extracting the sweetness from the coffee while minimizing on bitterness at grind size ~4.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Upgraded from a Capresso Infinity

I wanted a nicer grinder that was more consistent and could do a wider range of grinds. The Ode is exactly what I was looking for. I use it for my Chemex pour over, my Technivorm Moccamaster drip brew, and my cold brew. It does a great job with all three and it's been fun to experiment with different settings.
