good coffee bad grinder

Makes good coffee but beans stay in hopper and you need to constantly push them into the burrs. also it makes a metallic grinding sound after beans have finished grinding. Fellow is replacing it.

Great grind consistency

Love the grinder performance but the beans get caught in the hopper and sometimes don’t fall into the grinder unless you move them manually. Maybe there should be something that agitates the bean in the hopper so they fall into the grinder.

Flawless Grind, Delightful Design

The Opus grinder is a good example of user-centered design. I appreciate the grind guide printed on the lid, the use of magnets to center the collection cup perfectly and the V-shaped "funnel" inside the collection cup to ensure the grinds nicely pour into the basket or other receptacle. Oh, and, the coffee grind is flawless.

An exceptional burr grinder that produces a uniform grind every time! Quiet and well designed.

I purchased this particular grinder because I wanted a more uniform grind result than the old blade grinder that literally shreds the beans - often leaving chunks of beans in the mix. This burr grinder has made such a difference for me! I'm still experimenting with the settings to get the final strength and taste I'm looking for, but for poor over coffee, this has been a real game changer. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because I've yet to complete a grind without having to tap the side of the grinder to dislodge some beans and then restart the process. Trust me, this is minor, and the quality of the ground coffee is well worth the few seconds it takes to restart the grinder.

Love this grinder. It’s much quieter than any other grinder I have owned and the auto shut off feature is great. The anti static technology helps keep my counters clean too! Plus the design matches the other fellow products I own nicely.

Jams like crazy

I honestly was so excited for this grinder and it has been frustrating beyond belief. I have only used specialty light-medium roast coffee for the past 3 months and it has jammed more times than I can count. I've followed Fellow's unjamming videos on youtube, which help... for a few days. I'm just at a loss with how annoying dealing with these issues has been. The coffee tastes great, but not great enough to deal with the headache. Maybe I've gotten unlucky with this product because the reviews don't reflect my experience with the machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid grinder!

This is a very solid grinder and one that is designed well and is aesthetically pleasing on the counter next to your EKG. Is it the best grinder ever … no. Like all things that get daily use, you have to give it some routine maintenance. If you don’t clean the grounds from the magnetic receptacle every once in a while, yeah … they tend to accumulate and then make a mess, but hey … that’s the coffee station in my house anyway! I will say it’s very quiet, and the auto stop feature is nice so as not to damage the burrs. Does it jam? Yep. All grinders will jam if you don’t some routine maintenance. Your mileage may vary, but for me I have had two jams in the last 18 months and that’s without a strict cleaning regimen.
