Good, but might want to hold off until QC issues are fixed.

I’ve had this grinder less than 30 days and it already has a problem. The unit shakes and the motor sounds like it doesn’t have enough power to grind the beans. It worked great for the first 28 days. I’ve submitted a warranty claim and will update my review as needed.
Had the original ode one from kickstarter. Worked wonderfully. Left with ex. I like the improvements in the ode 2. It’s a tiny amount quieter. I like the larger range for adjustments. I haven’t had issues with grounds making a mess as long as every dozen or so uses clear any built up ground residual. Use the knocker, tap the side, and brush things clean. Bonus for the white option as it goes with my personal design aesthetic.

It's been 2 weeks since the Ode 2 dropped at my doorstep, and i've since run over 1000 grams through it. my go-to brew methods are fellow's stagg, v60, chemex, and coldbrew - often each within the same day. the ability to accurately and seamless dial the grinder to produce excellent grinds for each of these methods is second to none that i've experienced. this grinder is replacing my long-held baratza - which was endeared, had a wonderful life and a commemorative retirement to my guest house - as the time was necessary for a refresh, aesthetic and performative. the Ode 2 does not disappointment. it looks great. it works great. i couldn't be happier.

Great Upgrade
on September 11, 2024

I normally don’t leave reviews and generally think they’re not very helpful unless they are long term reviews and I’ve only had my ode for about two weeks (and used it daily). But I wanted to leave a review so anyone in a similar situation as me could make an informed decision. I replaced a 15+ year old Baratza virtuoso that worked but produced lots of fines. My ode is so much faster and quieter that when I first used it I assumed it must have arrived broken because it started and quickly stopped. I use 16g for a 280g pour and the odd is so fast and to me the coffee is so much better. I’m not a coffee snob but it’s smoother and less bitter than the old grinder. So if you’re wondering if an odd is a worthy upgrade for a an older conical grinder, it absolutely is. I do think the catch up lid is kind of worthless though but overall the ode is a really great upgrade. I just hope it lasts 15 years too.

I've only had this grinder for a week or so but it is amazing. Great consistency, very quiet for a grinder. Best french press I've had in years.

Freshly ground coffee every time!

Best grinder I’ve ever owned! The antistatic feature and grounds knocker makes coffee grinding clean and easy. We’re enjoying freshly ground coffee in every cup now. It’s a great looking machine that fits well in our small kitchen.
I couldn't be more pleased with this grinder. So many small touches that you would not think mattered and yet make so much of a difference in the overall experience. So much quieter than my last grinder, and the consistency is great. Way better coffee, way easier to use than most home grinders.
