Attractive but lacking

So the kettle is beautiful and the operational interface is pleasant to use. My major problems are the strong plastic smell it emits when in use, the high pitch-electronic whine I can hear when its on, and the very narrow spout that pours extremely slowly. Overall, I don't think it's worth such a high price tag. It's more of a visual design piece than a pleasant day-to-day experience.
Love! I love the color. I love the design. I love the features. It's pricey but totally worth it.

Unsystematized app , doesn't update

I had a hard time registering at first. It kept saying invalid because the serial number was not the one attached to the kettle.
Unsystematized app, and then the wifi doesn't work, and they call it pro and sell it for a high price..
What kind of firmware update takes more than 3 days.. It doesn't even update. I will never buy a product from here again.

Great kettle, useless app

Kettle works great, no complaints there. The app is completely worthless so far. When it does connect it won't update, now it won't connect at all. It would be five stars if it weren't for the dysfunctional app.

Worth the Investment

The slow pour rate is exceptional even among gooseneck kettles, and it makes for excellent pourover. Also, since Fellow is U.S. based, I know this will work with the electrical system in my home.

I love the design and the speed at which the water boils. My only criticism is that the color of the wood on the knob on the lid is darker than the light wood of the handle, just a little thing but nonetheless, it was very expensive, and I expected it to be perfect.

Overpriced, under-performing

For the premium price it should have more features and higher build quality. The tip of the spout is literally razor sharp raw-cut metal; I'm surprised this wasn't rounded off. I was disappointed to see how poor it is at maintaining the correct time; I have to reset the time every week to keep it anywhere near correct. The highest volume setting for the ready chime is too low to be heard more than a few feet away and then only in a silent room. Finally the feature allowing you to set a time for your water to be hot and ready for you is inadequately described; there's no explanation regarding whether there's a safety so that the kettle won't melt down and start a fire if it is accidentally left empty when the timer is set. Without knowing the answer to that question I'm unwilling to make a habit of using that feature. All in all, overpriced for what you get, and with too little attention to safety.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
