I love this kettle

I had initially bought the pink kettle and had some serious issues with it (it was malfunctioning but also the wooden top split and fell off after one week!). But I spoke with customer service and they allowed me to exchange it for free for the copper kettle. I am completely in love with it! It's gorgeous. It works so well for perfect pour overs. It's quiet. Making coffee with it is a joy and I highly recommend! I love it! The customer service made it really easy to replace too. Thank you for making such a beautiful kettle!

A very elegant, convenient kettle

The kettle looks very sleek and elegant. Operating it is very intuitive. Water boils fairly fast, though I feel the benefits of the 1200 W power. I also like the timer function—it makes timing your brew so much easier. The thing I don’t like about my kettle is the handle does feel a little loose when I hold it.

Loose lid and boiling over issues

Out of the box this kettle had a very loose lid. The first time I used the kettle the lid popped off and hot water sprayed everywhere.
I didn’t realize I needed to turn the temperature down to prevent boil over (I am at 5500ft in elevation)—not something I’d had to think about with other electric kettles. But even in turning down the temperature to compensate for my elevation, the lid would frequently pop off if I filled the kettle anywhere near the “Max” fill line.
In the end, the combo of the boil over at elevation with the loose lid are causing me to return the kettle. I don’t want to have a houseguest accidentally turn up the temperature. The other day, the power went out briefly and reset the saved temperature. I didn’t notice the next morning and the kettle boiled over and sprayed hot water everywhere again.

This is one of my favorite objects. I've had it for over a year now, and every time I go to make coffee it brings be joy. The design is sleek and uncluttered, the functionality is ideal, and it feels amazing in your hand (especially with the wood handle). You do need to be careful to not fill past the line or it sputters into the indentation on top, and it is suboptimal for making tea because the pour takes its time. But overall, get this and you'll feel like your whole kitchen has become a classier and more exciting place.
