Solid but fincky

The spout is amazing for pourovers, I get complete control and flat coffee beds for nearly every cup. The counter weighted handle is comfortable to hold on while pouring, but the metal point between the handle and pot does get hot and sometimes burns my hand. And the lid is secure enough but I feel it will fall off when pouring at certain angles near the end. The main issue the temperature control. It's easy to set but I need to set at least two or three degrees higher than I want because it never quite reaches the desired temperature and the hold function does alright but I'm almost always two or three degrees below what I set. And I do get the "over boil" issue sometimes where the readings do not work correctly and the kettle boils over through the lid. It's the controlled pour action that keeps me coming back to it.

Beautiful design, but quality control issues

Love the look and feel of the kettle. Heats up quickly and easy to use. A few issues with the kettle. One is that the button is finicky. To turn the kettle off, sometimes only one button press is required. Other times, it requires two or more button presses. Another issue is that the temperature gauge also seems finicky. You have to press down on the kettle and make sure it's in the slot correctly for the temp to read correctly. For example, the temp reading will be stuck at 85C, even though the water is obviously boiling from the hissing sound and steam it makes. I then press down hard on the kettle to make sure it's seated properly, and suddenly the temp reading jumps to 100C (the correct temp).

The quickness (partially attributable to .5l less volume) and quiet were a welcome respite from my old Oster (bomb-proof) kettle.

The Stagg EKG Electric Kettle took my coffee set up from being serviceable to STUPENDOUS! I love the functionality and that it's available in matte white to match some of my other Fellow coffee making/storage products. Very nice and easy to use. Sometimes the button that turns it on and off doesn't register that it's being pressed but otherwise it works great!

Pro. It’s gorgeous! Wood handle n square base n its shape are perfect. I love it. It boils fast. Con. It drips dribbles and leaks all over pouring 90% into the cup and 10% on the counter and me. Sad for such a beauty. I will probably return it.

I bought this kettle to drink more tea and it’s definitely made it easier for me to brew my favorites quickly and at the proper temperature. Heats quickly and maintains the temperature very well. Easy to use, clear display, balanced pot, and visually stunning. Very happy with my purchase & will be recommending to friends and family.
