The only thing I don't love is the capacity. I wish they made this larger, I had to buy a second, larger one from another company for my French press. Otherwise the design is great!
Let's be real here - this is quite an expensive product, so in order for me to rate this so highly, it needs to be exceptional in every way. And the Stagg EKG definitely delivers on all fronts.
Every part of this kettle seems to have been intentionally designed for easy and intuitive use. The spout delivers a consistent and stable pour. The weight distribution and handle both make pouring easy. The hold feature works the way you expect and is a great addition. What I really like is not only that each feature of the EKG is imbued with quality, it's that they don't over complicate the Stagg with unnecessary "smart" crap that plagues so much of product development nowadays. I'm very glad that the people at Fellow understand that an electric kettle does not need a touchscreen or the ability to post to your social media. They prioritized the things that matter and it shows here.
I think my favorite part of the kettle is the precise temperature control. For people like me that are starting to take their coffee brewing seriously, having a precisely adjustable brew temp is essential for experimentation and repeatability. But also, one thing that they don't even really market is that this temp control is useful for more than just coffee/tea brewing. The temp control goes from 104-212°F (40-100°C). While the vast majority of this range isn't suitable for coffee brewing, it does have plenty of other culinary and scientific applications.
It is hard to find a flaw with this kettle. My coffee game has skyrocketed since getting the Stagg, and I'd highly recommend it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great kettle. If you are choosing between this and the pro, it might be worth buying the pro because this one takes about 2 minutes or more (an eternity?) to heat up to 100C. (user error?) The built in timer is useful if your scale does not have a timer. It also holds a significant amount of water compared to other kettles.
