Fantastic kettle with one minor flaw

This is a fantastic kettle and near perfect. It heats fast, pours at a perfect rate, and looks awesome. My only issue is that sometimes the on/off button does not work. Not sure if all kettles have this issue by design or just mine. Sometimes I need to click 3-4 times and I think it happens when I don’t click in the dead center. I wasn’t clicking on the edge either, just off-center. Anyway, I’ve been retraining myself to click right in the center and I get far fewer issues.

Terrible on/off button!!

This kettle has one major flaw, the on/off button is terrible. I’ve used three different EKG kettles and all of them have had a flawed on/off button. It usually takes 3-5 pushes of the button to get it to turn on or off. For the price of these kettles, a properly functioning on/off button should be a given. After all, it only has ONE button!

Better than OXO

I make pourover every morning. It is a daily routine for me. For the past 7 years, I have been using OXO gooseneck and I absolutely loved it. But because of power wattage (I think) it stopped working one day. I was set on getting another OXO unit but it was no longer in production. So I decided to give Fellow a try. I realize that this is much better than OXO for pourover. The spout allows a consistent and slow flow of water no matter how much you tilt the kettle (this was not the case with OXO) and this makes all the difference when making a pourover. I can feel that Fellow gooseneck is truly specifically designed for pourover. The lid is another difference between the two brands. OXO lid is difficult to close and open because it is too snug (so not a one hand job). So I just kept the kettle open without the lid, but with fellow I am able to open and close the lid with one hand easily. It is just a much better constructed unit.
The only feature that I am missing from Fellow is the beeping alarm when the temperature reaches the set number. OXO had this feature which was great. But it is certainly not a deal breaker. Fellow is hands down a much better constructed kettle for making pourover.
I am very happy with the purchase.

Great electric kettle!

This is a great upgrade from my previous gooseneck kettle. The pour is very controlled and I find it easy to manipulate the flow rate. This also heats up very quickly with effective stable variable temperature control. Lastly, considering its shape it can actually hold up to 900 ml which is a lot so I’m glad that I don’t have to refill often when preparing multiple brews.

Not sure that it's much fast than heating up a kettle on the stove. Kind of wish there was an audio indication that it's at the temp you set at. The on button sometimes non-responsive if not press correctly. Seem like by the time I do a full pour over coffees not at warm as I'd like it to be. Also this mixed with a Chemex you're looking at about 12-15mins before you're enjoying the coffee. I agree it's good to slow down and enjoy this moment just something to consider. It's obviously looks great. Not sure i need another appliance personally.

I’m happy with the functionality

I’m happy with the functionality of the item. It performs well. I wish that it didn’t have as much plastic as it does. The bottom side seems to be the only necessary place for the plastic. Shouldn’t be an extra cost at this price to not have plastic. At the very least it could all be stainless steel.
