not only does this baby deliver as advertised, it is even sleeker in person. Even in a French press, the control to better bloom my grounds has made every pot that much better. I am in the market for a new dripper just to have a 5th option of devices into which I can dispense lovely temperature controlled water form this exquisite piece of kit!

Amazing Kettle

I searched around for a good gooseneck kettle to find one that is true to its temperature gauge and found lots of folks saying the Stagg was the best. So far I think this has played out perfectly for me. I just have three small things I notice when I use the kettle.
One: the max-fill line is on the handle side of the kettle, so while you're filling it at the faucet, unless you hold it uncomfortably, you can't see the line. Over time this is less important because I've figured where the line is and just estimate and check before I put it on the base to heat, but it was something I noticed initially that seemed like a less-than-ideal design choice.
And two: the nearness of the temperature knob to the kettle. This is being totally knit picky, but if you're not careful and the kettle is hot, it's easy to bump your fingers on the kettle because there is so little space between the knob and the kettle. Obviously there are strategies to avoid this, so it's not the worst thing ever.
Three: the lid is totally flat and it will collect moisture after being used. So if you go to set it down on the counter while you fill up the kettle, it will stick.
These are all really small things, none of which are deal breakers. It is an amazing kettle and I'm glad I purchased it.

Worth every penny

This kettle makes making pour over coffee easier and faster. Quick heating, accurate temperature, controlled pour. I make 24oz every morning, heat 30 oz of water so I have enough for the bloom and have a little left over. My drip coffee maker is now stored in the garage.

This is our second Fellow Kettle. This one I bought with the pour over system for my husband. He and we love it! I also love the feature of being able to heat the water to whatever temperature is necessary for different teas. Brilliant product!
