If you love design, just buy it already

All the reviews are true. If you’ve spent time watching videos and reading articles about this kettle, I’m here to confirm it is an amazing, but imperfect product. Yes, the flow rate is made for pour over (ie, slow). Yes, the connection point for the handle to the kettle gets hot. Yes, the button can be finicky. Yes, it heats up fast, but slows waaay down once it’s close to your set temp. But if you’re obsessed with the beauty of this kettle, if using well designed products brightens your day, if you’re moving from a basic kettle to a temp controlled unit, then this is the kettle for you. All the little annoyances will fade into the background once you lift it and start making coffee. This kettle (along with upgrading the burrs in my Encore grinder) has reignited my love of coffee making.

So, I looked for a while at various different kettles trying to make a well rounded decision. Over and over again, the Stagg EKG was the top of every review and for good reason. It does a great job at heating my filtered water, from my fridge (56 degrees) within 5 minutes. I'm sure if I used room temp water it would be faster. It holds the set temp for a sufficient amount of time and most importantly to me it looks good doing it all. Honestly, it's a bit pricey for what you're getting, but I felt like it was worth it, and the design fits great for our family in our kitchen remodel, and is a great upgrade from boiling water on the stove.

I love my Fellows water heater but it doesn’t always turn right on. I have to keep pushing the right side on/off button 6-10 times and so far it does turn on.

Elegant and understated design, but...

I love the design and heft of the kettle. The matte black appearance is elegant, the walnut handle grip is really nice and comfortable, and there have been no issues with leaks. The only thing that is keeping me from giving Stagg 5 stars is the inability to program or set preferred temps (for coffee and tea) and have it automatically default to that last preferred temp when I plug it in. It's the one feature I miss about my previous gooseneck kettle by another brand.

Mostly gets the job done. Issues:
- pour is slower than other goosenecks (too slow)
- the on/off button doesn’t always register; need to press it a few times to turn it on usually

Beautiful accent to any kitchen

I love the color and how it looks. I use this for pour over coffee and it’s perfect. I got the navy blue with dark wood accent. I really appreciate how quiet (and quickly) it boils water. It makes a difference to maintain your optimal desire temperature. The only downside is after 2 weeks of use, the button started having issues turning on/off. I heard this is a common issue and I hope Fellow is aware.

I love almost everything about this kettle - sleek design, easy to use, precise... my only critique is that the capacity could be a bit bigger, for when one is brewing multiple cups.
