I had a gooseneck kettle that still worked pretty well but this one is so gorgeous I decided to splurge. And I'm so glad I did. The handling is amazing and I love how the hold temperature feature works. Much better than the Bonavita I used to have. I just love using this every single day. It feels great in the hand and is visually stunning. I also saw somewhere that there's some kind of little video game?? Sounds cute although I haven't figured out how that works.

I already had the fellow stove top gooseneck kettle but really like the keep warm setting and it heats up faster than it does over my gas burner (or maybe it just seems like it because I can hit the button and walk away)

Heats water, holds temperature, easy to use, intuitive interface, pours nicely, decent balance.
This does everything I need it to, but in the spirit of Continuous improvement, I wanted to note a couple of things that would enhance the experience. First, the metal collar on the handle is hot, so I had to change my grip slightly in order to not touch it, and sometimes I still do. It's not hot enough to burn (I don't think), but it is uncomfortable. Second, the seating of the lid is a little off, and doesn't feel as premium as the rest of the unit, though maybe you could criticize the adjustment knob in the same way. Third, the balance is a little heavy. It would be nice to shift the center of mass slightly back toward the hand. Maybe this is just my preference or my particular grip. Not sure if this would be an objective improvement.
I've never had a perfect cup of coffee, nor have I ever used a perfect pour over kettle. But I have had many fantastic cups of coffee that I would gladly share with others. Likewise, this is a fantastic pour over kettle that I would happily recommend.

The Stagg EKG Electric Kettle has functioned perfectly since I bought it and the minimalist aesthetic design is superb. I love the routine of waking up in the morning to make chemex coffee and this kettle definitely adds to the experience. Given its design, functionality, included timer and the function to hold your water at a constant temperatrure of your choosing, it's worth the extra money you would pay rather than choosing a cheaper electric kettle.
There's even an easter egg! I wont say what it is, but just flick the temperature switch on the back a couple of times when the kettle is not heating.
