I filed for a replacement Stagg EKG after the PID on my first one went bad after a year or so. The replacement they sent works, but, the on/off button is not reliable. i sometimes have to push it 3-4 times to get it to register the press. And the annoying thing that i would like to be fixed if possible.

Great kettle but poor construction for the price

This still seems to be the best kettle out there that I have found. The kettle heats up water quickly and precisely. You can see the temperature in real time. The pour is very slow and controlled; ideal for pour over coffee, not the best for tea or other applications but it wasn't necessarily designed for that. My main complaint is that for the high price i expect everything to work really well but the "on" button doesn't always work. I have to press the button like 5 times to get it to turn on and sometimes I have to unplug the kettle and plug it back in before pressing it a few times. Once it turns on it works great but its disappointing to experience after paying so much money. However, overall it is significantly better than almost every other kettle out there.
