Kettle randomly does not boil

My kettle sometimes boils and sometimes doesn’t boil (?!). I purchased a week ago. When I press the button to start boiling, the desired temperature and the current temperature apprar on the screen, except current temperature doesn’t go up. Checked that the lid was correctly on, water was in, everything. I would pick up my kettle and put it back at a slightly different angle, and multiple tries of that would do the trick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my 2nd kettle of this type. I use it 3 - 4 times a day to make loose organic black,green or herbal tea. I was going to purchase one of the other kettle styles with a short pour spout but this pink/maple/ goose-necked spout one was just too cute to pass up. Love being able to set the water temp just so.... Am hoping to get 4 or 5 years' use out of this one as well.

Very stylish great features 4 star due to me the long spout pours a little slowly. I could have gotten one with the faster pour but it wouldn’t look as cool as this one
