You have to pour ver slowly out of the spout or else there is the risk of water spilling out. No well engineered.

Happy with the purchase, so we don’t have to listen to a whistling teapot, and it keeps its temperature. The only con is that the pouring spout is too small, and it takes a bit of time to fill a teacup or mug.

The Stagg EKG kettle is very good for pouring through a coffee filter - the goose-neck spout controls the amount of water that can be poured, resulting in a very good cup of coffee. The kettle is easy to use and very intuitive - so much so I was up and running just getting it out of the box. The size is great for 3 or 4 cups of coffee and the base keeps the water at the desired temperature.
The reason for my giving it 4 stars is that it does not have a "boil" feature. Yes one can set the temperature at 212 degrees F (100 C), but what happens is that it rapidly reaches 209 or 210 and then take another 2 minutes to reach 212 - this is because it does not want to overshoot the temperature being set. Fellows should have a boil setting to override this and just let the kettle boil water without any temperature setting so that one can have water boil as rapidly as is possible.
