Disappointed

Something I haven't seen mentioned, which is this kettle's biggest flaw: if you fill to the max line, a lot boiling water will spurt out of the holes in the lid, and this water must be cleaned up before you pour with the kettle, otherwise you risk burning yourself, damaging your scale, etc. I'm even concerned for the kettle's base, because water spills onto the power/temp dial. This also means that you end up with a significant amount of water less than you put in. For me, this has been an issue in making coffee in a french press.
As others have mentioned, this kettle pours slowly. It's good for pour over, but too frustrating for filling a french press or even a mug of tea.
It's nice looking, but for the price it's functionality should include filling to the max line without the possibility of being scalded or cleaning up a bunch of hot water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you like steam shooting out of the lid, along with boiling water that pools in the lid, and want to pay a ton of money, then this is for you!

Not what I expected; disappointed

They talk about having an App for this kettle, but that’s a bit deceptive. It’s not an app to be able to operate the kettle…I thought I could start my kettle from the convenience of my bed using this app,. Turns out the app can only update firmware; why advertise it with such gusto if it’s not a real app.
If you want this kettle to be able to operate it remotely, it won’t.
I already had a fellow kettle, thought this was a version I could control, but this is not a smart kettle. I admit I’m to blame for not reading the fine print, but Fellow knew what they were doing.

Marketing email harassment.

I have unsubscribed 3 times from marketing emails yet they continue to ask for a review. That’s a good way to ensure a negative review. Please stop emailing me.

Works great, but smells a little like plastic as it heats

Works great, but smells a little like plastic as it heats. It’s the best operating pour-over kettle, but the VOCs don’t seem to go away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pass on this one unless you want a decorative item.

Looks great, aside from the wood handle being much darker than the marketing photos. That's what you're paying for here. The knob is feels very cheap, and there is no app connectivity for temperature and scheduling. Scheduling is also very limited (once or daily). The description says it can OTA receive updates, but I don't see how.
