Worth the money

So glad I got this for my girlfriend and I! Worth the money, we love being able to set the temperature for different teas and have absolutely noticed a difference in how things brew as a result. Heats up so fast and pours so smoothly, too!

I've had the Stagg EKG Electric Kettle for a few months now. I am trying my best to minimize plastic in my kitchen and it was time for my 20 year old Cuisinart drip coffee maker to retire. I have fond memories of my best friend, shortly after college, introducing me to her Fellow pour over setup. The default pour over setting of 205 degrees was burning my coffee. With a few adjustments (increased grind size, decreased temp), I'm now enjoying the best coffee I've ever made at home. Not to mention that the entire process is quieter and faster than my past routine with the drip coffee maker.

Great Aesthetic and Pour

I absolutely love my Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle – it’s one of those rare products that genuinely makes everyday life better. I use it every single morning to make my coffee, and it never fails to deliver a perfect experience from start to finish.
Pour Control: First off, the pour is flawless. The gooseneck spout offers incredibly precise control, which makes a huge difference when you're doing a pour-over or even just filling a French press. It’s smooth, balanced, and feels premium in hand.
Temperature Control: The exact temperature control is what really sets it apart from other kettles I’ve used. Whether I’m brewing lighter roasts at 195°F or going hotter for a darker roast, I can dial in the temperature to the degree. It takes the guesswork out of brewing and ensures I get the best flavor every time. The LCD screen is super clear and intuitive to use, and I love being able to watch the temperature rise in real time.
Speed & Convenience: It heats up fast – much faster than I expected. I also love the hold temperature feature, which keeps the water hot and ready for me if I get distracted (which, let’s be honest, happens a lot in the mornings). It’s such a small touch but makes a big difference in my daily routine.
Design & Build Quality: On top of performance, the design is stunning. Sleek, minimal, and modern – it looks great on my kitchen counter. It’s built solidly and feels like it’s made to last. I actually enjoy using it, which isn’t something I’ve ever said about a kettle before.
Final Thoughts: The Fellow Stagg EKG has quickly become an essential part of my day. If you’re someone who takes your coffee or tea seriously – or even if you just want hot water on demand with a little more control and style – I can’t recommend this kettle enough. It’s thoughtful, well-designed, and honestly a joy to use.
The Kettle heating water part of this is excellent. It heats very quickly and pours very nicely, we use it multiple times a day!
However, for the price there is much to dislike about this product and make me question why this brand is so recommended. The rubber seal on the lid comes off all the time just from taking the lid on and off. The "tech" features are awful. First you have to turn the kettle on to start heating before you can access the menu. The documentation does not go into detail about what the different functions do exactly. The Chime setting goes from 1 to 10 but really is just from off to quiet. It does not give a confirmation notification to let you know what the chime setting is, you have to turn it on and heat water to hear it. And the Chime is just too quiet, I can barely hear it over the boiling water. I love you can set a time to hold the temp but hate that while keeping the kettle off the base for a few minutes when you put it back it starts heating again unless you manually turn it off. I would expect it to time out after 30 - 60 seconds of the kettle being removed from the base. Then you get into the app and the experience gets really bad. It took me a good hour of playing with this thing, unplugging the kettle, resetting my phone, toggling this and that until the app could see the kettle and connect to my wifi. After going through all that I realized there is no point. I can't schedule or toggle the kettle from the app, its only to update the firmware, which at this point does nothing. Its a total waste and makes no sense to require wifi for this. This is my first purchase from Fellow and given my experience and impression will probably be the last. The experience does not live up to the price

CUTE BUT BOILS OVER, EVEN WHEN LOADED WELL BELOW MAXIMUM LINE

It is a good thing I live alone because this kettle boils over and spews hot water, even when I only fill it to an inch and a half BELOW the maximum line, even when taking into account that I live at high altitude (5,00 feet above sea level.) I think this thing can handle two small cups of water, so I am out of luck if I have guests. I have to think whether or not to return it. I am disabled and home bound, so returning things is very difficult for me. It seems like every time something is advertised as being "top of the line" or "luxe" or "high tech" or the best of anything, it works FAR less efficiently than an old style WHATEVER. In this case, I think a tea kettle on the stove would be preferable to THIS temperamental thing. I am very disappointed.!

Unsystematized app,

I had a hard time registering at first. It kept saying invalid because the serial number was not the one attached to the kettle.
Unsystematized app, and then the wifi doesn't work, and they call it pro and sell it for a high price..
What kind of firmware update takes more than 3 days.. It doesn't even update. I will never buy a product from here again.
