Poor Quality

I bought this kettle on 11/1/22, and it has already stopped working properly; on many occasions it does work at all. For the price, I did expect the Stagg Kettle to function for years and years not for just a few mere months. Do not buy.

Wooden Lid Pull cracks and falls off

The wooden knob on top of my lid has split/cracked and comes off when I try to remove the lid from the kettle. Have replaced it multiple times and same thing. Replacement knobs only come in a kit with the handle so you have to shell out even more extra money for a design flaw problem. This is very unfortunate because otherwise it's beautiful and works well. Just can't stand behind a product with such an obvious problem.
Does not feel like a well built piece of equipment.

Two of the rubber feet came off almost right away. I followed your advice to glue them on. Apparently not the first time it happened. The lid sticks when you lift it requiring two hands instead of one. It rises quickly to the right temperature so it does the job but for the price I feel like you ripped me off.
even below the max line, water spills over the spout and into the electrical base

Great at its core, but less smart than competition

Aesthetically it's very pleasing on our countertop. The build quality is also top notch. It achieves the features stated.
Cons: I'm underwhelmed by the fact that the app is only used to update the kettle firmalware, and doesn't allow you to set schedules like other cheaper competitors, or even other smart features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wish it had larger capacity. Also question why the screw in the handle isn’t matte black (see attached image)

Great but could be better

I think it's great, I do look forward to some software updates, however. The internal clock is now 4 minutes off, which doesn't make sense given that it is connected to WiFi where it could synchronize publicly available NTP servers, like the NIST.gov servers.
I would also like an easy way to create and switch between "favorites," which isn't a concept that it implements. It has several built-in modes for things like pour-overs, Oolong tea, etc., but I want to put in and name my own.
Also, the beeper at max volume is pathetic. It's such a low volume that having a choice between volumes seems pointless. Why not use the App for notifications. I have an iPhone and it would be really nice to be notified that the temp is ready no matter where in the house I am.
BTW-Thanks for having 104 degrees F. One of my primary uses is for it to auto-start in the morning with pre-boil, then cool to 104, since I have chronic sinus problems, and this has the water perfect for my sinus rinses. This has made this process MUCH easier.

Great features added. Some tweaks still needed.

Solid upgrades. The extra button to enter setup mode makes a major difference - you no longer have to play "guess how long to hold the big button" to access various settings. The new lid also fits much better.
Great features that were badly needed: * Beep to announce boiling is done, w/ adjustable volume * Adjustable hold time added in software * F/C degree switch incorporated into software * Programmable start time
Remaining issues: * Beep should be louder - max is still very quiet * Built-in clock loses time very rapidly * What's the wifi connection for if I can't remote start/control the kettle?
Biggest gripe: The programed start time will just delete itself if you don't use the kettle during the programmed hold window every day. For instance, if you program the kettle to boil at 8 a.m. every morning but you sleep in on Sunday, the kettle won't turn on at 8 a.m. on Monday. BIG issue. This should be patched.
