Excellent kettle but…it has a strong electrical smell. The design is the best-looks great. Handle feel is perfect. But that smell is a bit annoying.

Function/Features: Works very well. The spout directs water gently and precisely, so there is no splashing over the cone/filter. The kettle heats up very quickly and maintains the temperature for 5 minutes without needing to set it up that way; enough time to do a pour over. The handle is shaped well for a nice ergonomic fit. The kettle is light, due to aluminum material. The lid has no chance of falling out while pouring. It is a joy to use on a daily basis.
Craftsmanship: the wood knob on top is a little loose and rotates a bit when removing the lid, which has an appropriately snug fit into the opening.
RE: White w/maple kettle...
Materials: Very nice materials and finishes. Everything is white (base, kettle, lid, cord), except the handle, handle collar/fastener and the knob on the lid. The cord is heavy-duty and short. Because it is heavy-duty it is not very flexible, which makes it a challenge to stow the cord and the unit against the backsplash of the counter.
Aesthetics: Good looking, with some room for improvement, according to my own tastes. The screw to fasten the handle is attractive and visible at the back of the handle, but I think would look better if it were plugged with maple instead; the shiny chrome-colored collar at the base of the handle would look better it it were to match the kettle color or if it were matte metal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great kettle, coating flakes

The kettle functions well, the spout is very nice, it gives a good pour. There has Not so far after a little over a year of use been any kind of malfunction with the electronics. However, inside a year of daily use (heating water 1-3 times per day, sitting on the counter), the powder coating is flaking off of the green one. I don't know if this is a common issue or specific to this color, but I would hope for a bit better attention to detail in a premium presenting product when the coating on my water bottle holds up for the most part on falls to rocks and pavement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great electic kettle

What I like best is how fast it heats water and that it isn't huge since I only make one cup of tea. What I wish was different is how fast the water flows from the spout. It's a little slow but really, a pretty minor issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!
