Started rusting on day 2

I'm very disappointed to report that the rim of the kettle started rusting on the second day. I have attempted to wipe off the rust several times, but it keeps accumulating. There is no visible rust on the lid, but the rim of the kettle keeps getting worse.
Additionally, from the time I took the kettle out of the box the handle has felt a a little loose where it contacts the kettle. If I can find a wrench that fits the screw I will attempt to tighten it myself. But, again, I'm shocked by the low quality for such an expensive product.

Beautiful kettle

We ordered the matte black with walnut handle and it is absolutely stunning. It's been in daily use for the past several weeks and we have noticed that the finish is chipping a little around the top of the kettle and the very edge of the lid. Nothing that will keep it from functioning, but it does make me wonder how long it will remain beautiful. The temperature tends to hold within a degree of the set time, sometimes a little low, other times a little high, but overall, it's usually spot on. The pour is slow, as this is designed for a pour over coffee. I use it for tea and it takes about 30 seconds to fill up my cup. As such, the water can cool a little in that process, so I find it helpful to either pre-warm the cup, or set the temp just slightly higher.

If you’re in position I was, and you are pondering buying this, asking “is this really going to help my coffee be better?” It will. Just do it. I have absolutely no regrets from buying the Stagg, and will use it probably every day for years to come. It does everything you need it to, and nothing you don’t. It gets out of the way so that you can focus on brewing better coffee, and that’s what I love about it the most. Thank you, Fellow, for making such a great product.
