For as pricey as this kettle is, I’d expect the quality control to be quite a bit better. Our original EKG was replaced due to an issue that caused the water to boil over before the thermostat reached the set temperature. The lid also leaked profusely from beneath the knob, and the new kettle’s lid is quite a bit looser than the first one we purchased, which causes it to rattle about incessantly, at temperatures above 210°. There is also an issue with the pour at higher temperatures which causes the stream to exit the spout erratically.

I love everything about this kettle. It looks gorgeous on my kitchen counter. I use it every morning for my pour over coffee and can’t believe how quickly it heats my water to the perfect temperature.
