Like the non-electric original model I bought back in the day more. This one feels larger and less elegant, lid goes on less smoothly though maybe it’s for a better seal. It does heat fast and I like the hold function so life is easier as you don’t have to monitor as closely, but aesthetically I’m not sure I love it like my prior. Don’t love that you have to pay shipping to return.

Love this kettle. Admittedly I purchased based on aesthetics (and workmanship/reputable company). as stated, it is designed for pour over coffee; I just needed to replace our kettle and we use a french press- so pouring takes an extra minute i.e. not quick. I take the extra 100 seconds to as a conscious reminder to breathe, slow down, haste makes waste:)
Would have given 5 stars BUT, as i read in another review, mine does leak water from the lid ( when full and tilted such that the water reaches the lid - again, if poured super slowly, maybe the water line never reaches the lid).
LOVE the little sentiments in the manual, packaging, design...clever and fresh!

Top Quality Kettle

While I’d been aware of the Stagg EKG Kettle for some time, I'd chosen to buy a variety of cheaper electric kettles, thinking that the Stagg was overpriced for what it was. I was wrong. The Stagg is superior in every regard for quality pour-over brewing of coffee. Moreover, it’s actually attractive on the kitchen counter. I do wish that it had a slightly higher capacity, however it heats so quickly that I can make four 12 ounce mugs back to back with two fills of the kettle. That aside, it’s the quintessentially perfect device for pour-over, and I can recommend it very highly.

We got the copper kettle and absolutely love it. Having the temperature control has really upped our coffee and tea quality. Very easy to use and it looks beautiful. A great product that will last for years.
