I’ve appreciated my EKG for a few weeks now and it has really improved my pour overs in the morning (along with refining my Melodrip technique), and it is a better option for visitors to try if they would like to brew a cuppa. I had hesitated purchasing the kettle since they hitting the shelves, due to the price especially, but with Shop’s no interest payments, I was able to bite the bullet and snag the Stagg, as well as let go of 2 other kettles that we used at home.
I really appreciate the temperature stability, speed at which water is heated (as my stovetop Hario kettle took a long while), straightforward ease of use, and the aesthetic (which is also very practical, and I like that it isn’t a “bells and whistles” sort of kettle with useless functions). I am very happy with my purchase.

Once you go back to your old kettle you realize how good this one is

This kettle is fantastic, it feels great and pours so smoothly. The switches on the back of the base (hold and °f/°C toggles) felt a bit cheap but they do their job and I haven’t seen them since day one. The kettle itself is wonderful in every way. My office has the same version of my old kettle and when I used it I immediately knew where my money went with the EKG.

I love my Nespresso for all my coffee needs, but I've been using this for decaff tea in the evenings. Love it. I guess I'll let hubby use it for his instant oatmeal too.

great ergonomics and PID controller for temp

overall I love it. the single knob to control everything has nice satisfying clicks when you twist it, however to turn on/off you click the wheel and you really need to click in the middle to get it to activate. i also wish there as small beep to notify you when the water had reached its temp...i know it starts to hold but i would still like the option for a small audible noise.

This is an EXCELLENT kettle. I love the minimalist base, precise temperature control and brew timer. The only thing I wish it had was a sound for when it reached temperature that could be turned on an off.
