Capture Clip and Lens Kit

I got the capture clip with the lens kit and its super handy! It's a little hard to install onto my backpack strap, maybe because the strap is a little thick (it seemed like a standard size to me). Once it was on though, it felt very secure. I take photos and video for a parks department so being able to change a lens easily is so helpful, especially on dirty and snowy trails!

Really good but hard to get on

Tried this capture clip to use on a backpack strap. It was very very difficult to get it on but once on it is very tight. I can see that the screws would need to be checked now and then to insure they stay tight. My dSLR and large lens stay secure. Wanted to use it for bike rides but is too bulky, great for hiking tho! I am not tall 5'1" and therefore not a lot of clearance from a larger dSLR/lens and my waist! Just something to keep in mind.

Great way to carry a camera

I had the previous version of the capture clip but recently got a new camera and lens that wouldn't really fit on it. The new slimmer version works perfectly, and provides the same great way of carrying a camera on my backpack strap while I'm out hiking. Super convenient, don't have to worry about a strap getting caught up on my water or backpack.

Best piece of kit for a traveler

Bought the clip to go with my Ellie of L bracket. Did a rim to rim at the Grand Canyon with my Nikon z5 on my should strap the whole time and fit many great pictures due to its accessibility that I otherwise would've missed. Love the capture clip!

Well made. Great feedback when snapping into place. Has a slight metal sound as your walking around, nothing that I didn’t get used to. I would like concise documentation around the peak design ecosystem. I watched videos the videos lead one to think everything is so magical, and the articles throughout the website contradicts itself and is too vast. But once the items arrived it seems that I need to buy even more into the peak design ecosystem (adapter plates, more standard/dual plates, pro pad)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am actually going to reorder the clip. I watched your videos and it answered some questions and showed me how to install the clip for better access. However, the small bags probably would not hold a camera with a longer lens.
