Use it on carpet, vinyl and lament. Hair gets stuck around belt area, pulled a two inch pack of hair out. Bissell was of no help except sending extra belts. Said we waited too long for refund, they had pushed us off when first called. Took to service center who has said they no longer service Bissell because the company doesn't get back to them with replacement parts. Very disappointed. Stuck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was looking for a light weight vacuum and this one delivers. Comes with all the tools you need to keep a tidy house. The rewind cord is an added bonus since I was so use to winding up by hand. It might not seem like a big deal but after a long cleaning session, the rewinding feature gives your back a little break.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is the worst I've ever used. I got it because it was rated a 10 on a review. I wouldn't rate this a 5. It's very hard to push around. Takes a lot of effort. It dumps chunks of hair out as you're vacuuming. Like other reviewers mentioned the hair gets all caught up in the belt area. I had to take mine all apart because it started making a strange noise and smelling funny. Could not believe the amount of hair packed into the belt area. The plate you remove to get to the belt is all chewed up and broken. No idea what has happen to it it's just my daughter (23) myself and the cat. Didn't suck up anything big or hard. Only have had it 3-4 months. Wish I could return it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
