[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After purchasing another vacuum, and cleaning a small area -- it didn't last 2 hours. The reviews on-line were apparently wrong. We then purchased the Bissell and love it. It picks up everything on tile or carpets. It's easy to use and the retractable cord is great.- thanks again.

Good Vacuum.. When it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this vacuum for about a year now. I have 2 dogs - a short haired and long haired dog that both shed. The vacuum works great when it works. However, I've changed out the belt 3 times now in the last year I've had this vacuum. I only vacuum once a month - I have 3 not very large bedrooms and a small den that has carpet. I squeegee the carpets every 2 weeks to pull up all the dog hair, so the vacuum doesn't have to do all the work. I change the belt and the vacuum is good for about 2-3 uses (2-3 months because I vacuum once a month) before it snaps. I've even tried to adjust the carpet level knob, and that doesn't make a difference as to when the belt snaps. It's very frustrating. I owned a different pet-specific Bissell before we moved across country (and it unfortunately broke on the way here), and it NEVER gave me issues in the 3 years I had it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this vacuum 2 months, the belt has broken, the part that adjusts the floor height is broken, and there an other part under the vacuum broken. I have a dog and a cat, use the vac once or twice a week. I expected this to last longer than 2 months. The replacement belt is out of stock. When it's work it does a great job, will pick up but it's all plastic, cheap, and breaks easily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have cats and dogs so I struggle with pet hair and dirty paws. This vacuum makes my 10 year old, well loved carpet look almost brand new. I love the retractable cord. I no longer have to worry about my kids leaving the vacuum out and tripping over the cord they forgot to wind up!

Vacuumed the carpet with other vacuums prior to using the Swivel and it still picked up a ton of debris. Easy to use, moves seamless. Swivel is pretty aggressive and can fall Over if you don't lock it in place.
