[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Vacuum Cleaner 2256 as a gift for my wife. Her very old but very reliable Bissell vacuum that she had enjoyed very much for over 15 years finally needed replacement. We are very happy to report that this Bissell 2256 is fantastic and even better than the good old Bissell it replaces. As soon as we started it up for a trial run on an area rug in our living room, we were stunned at how quickly it started cleaning the rug and filling up the canister with all kinds of grunge. My wife immediately exclaimed how the colors in the rug were immediately renewed with only a single moderately quick pass. This thing also did a great job on our laminate floor. Then, I attached the brush attachment and made short work on our big screen television and home theater system on our black metal and glass shelf entertainment center. It vanquished the dust with single passes, and stirred nothing up in the process that took about 10 minutes, including moving all the electronics and wires around. I used to spend about 45 minutes hand dusting that entertainment center and the electronics. And the emptying of the cannister is quick and dead simple. What an efficient time saver the 2256 is! It just works so impressively, and we are very happy with it. We hope it lasts as long as its Bissell predecessor. That would be a huge bonus. Very high quality, great features, great warranty, and backed by a very reputable name in vacuum technology and products that has been around for a very long time - obviously making good products that people continue to purchase with confidence. Plus, you get it all for a very reasonable price. We very highly recommend this vacuum. #sweepstakes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a yellow lab. My previous vacuum was a shark canister vacuum and I only ever replaced filters in 8 years. This vacuum from bissell lasted 20 minutes before the belt broke. Poor design. Belt chamber clogs with hair. After 3 belts in less than a month we returned the bissell. Other negatives; brush roller does not shut off, attachments dont provide enough power or hose length to use, no light, canister is designed poor and hair would get stuck inthe top. Belts are not easy to find in a brickstore so you mightwant to order extra long before you need them. Bissell did send me a free belt but I had to request it. It took so long toget here that i ordered online and had them sooner elsewhere. My pictures started with a fresh belt and clean canister. I took the pictures at about 20 minutes of use. You can see how much hair is in the canister compared to clogged in the belt. Melted rubber stuck to the bar and where the belt attaches to the vacuum. This is not a maintenance issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this new vacuum and have been using it about a week. We have 3 dogs, so I am vacuuming something almost everyday. So far, I love this vacuum. We have all hard flooring with a few area rugs, so my biggest complaint is having to adjust the brush height manually but that is not really that big of an issue. It has great suction and I absolutely love the pet eraser and corner tools. I have been trying to get by with a cordless stick vacuum for several years, but there is just really no comparison with the difference in the levels of clean between the two types. Also, I love the bin size on this unit. I can vacuum several times before having to empty it and it empties with ease.

I love everything about this. I love how well it works. I love how light it is. I love the retractable LONG cord. I love that all of the attachments are stored on board. Easy to empty. PICKS UP EVERYTHING, and doesn't get hair wrapped around the brush. I switched from a Dyson. I loved my Dyson... But this works way better, is way lighter, and cost WAY less than my Dyson did. I am in love. I haven't tried it on hard floor yes, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I have an American Bulldog/Boxer mix, and it makes short work of her short hair (my god, the shedding!!!!) Buy this vacuum. You will not be disappointed.

This vacuum is exactly what we were looking for! the amount of pet hair it pulls up from carpet, floor and furniture is amazing (and a little scary how much was there that we did not notice!). Love the swivel action to get into corners and also the lack of a bag, makes emptying it so easy. Plus the long hose for attachments is excellent and the suction is fantastic to making "dusting" really effective! Excellent vacuum!!
