I have a two and a half year old husker l husky, and when I used this for the first time, I couldn't believe how clean my carpet was. There is so much suction on this unit, I'm glad I trusted my judgement. It was reviews like this one that finally convinced me to purchase this unit along with the Hand Vac!! I am really pleased with that, too!!! As with a husky, there is fur all over the place... especially in my car. The Hand Vac has cleaned my car like no other machine!!! 2 great products from Bissell...

I don't know why i saw mixed reviews about it because both of these items work exactly how they should. If you're looking for budget items that actually do their job these are it.

The most amazing vacuum I've ever owned and this is NOT an exaggeration! I recently had to clean an absolutely filthy house that had been abandoned for five years and after 30 minutes my expensive Dyson literally broke! I honestly didn't have very high expectations for this vacuum bc it wasn't very expensive and if my Dyson couldn't handle it... Surely this vacuum wouldn't be able to do it either. But boy was I wrong! The vacuum was able to suck up ground in dirt in very old carpet's and very easily transitioned to hardwood floors and was able to get in all the nooks and crannies because of the way it was designed. I actually started to enjoy vacuuming because it looks so nice after I was done... And I tried to get all of my friends purchase one, but I think they just wish that I would shut up about it! At any rate, this really is the best purchase that I've ever made. And I really don't like writing reviews bc I'm seldom impressed by the products I buy and I don't like lying...but this is the honest to God truth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In a house of 3 dogs, I need a vacuum that is easy to use and with amazing pickup. the swivel head and the small little brushes on the sides of the vacuum head are amazing at getting all the hair out of small places. The Hand Vac is so convenient but powerful for easy cleaning of upholstery. I give this vacuum and handheld a three dog +.
