I was looking for a new vacuum cleaner that would pick up pet hair. We have a Jack Russel mix and a pom. The Jack Russel has wire hair that is left on everything. I started reviewing vacuums and asking friends what they had for cleaners. I liked the reviews on the Bissell and decided to give it a try. Once it arrived we put it to work. Now I have always thought of myself as a clean freak when it comes to my home, but I was not prepared for the hair I got up from one cleaning. And we also noticed the air in our living room was cleaner after the first cleaning. This is definitely going to be the best investment we have made when it comes to vacuums. The added bonus? The price was not bad either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two dogs, one with black fur and one with faun fur so no matter what color furniture or rug, you can see one color fur or the other. Both little furballs shed more than I would like. This vacuum picked up everything! I got the work done in a fraction of the time because I've been using a shop vac for years. Powerful, but you can't stand and vacuum when you have a shop vac, no matter what kind of attachment. The Bissell picked up more than the shop vac and it was so easy to use that I will happily vacuum multiple times a week! I was impressed with the rewind cord. To be honest, I figured it was just another thing that could break so I wasn't too excited about the feature, but I was impressed with how much cord fit in that tiny little compartment and the ease of the rewind feature is very nice. I almost went with the unit that didn't have the swivel feature and I am immeasurably glad I sprung for this one. I actually got it because I liked the color better than the other two I was considering, but the swivel was a bonus. Now that I have it, and have used it, i would not have been happy without the swivel.

I have only had it a few weeks but it does a great job. The cord is long and easy to store. The suction is great. And it is easy to move around. It was a little bigger than I expected but it stores in my closet great. I feel the floors are cleaner with this vacuum than my old one. I will definitely buy another one.
