[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a long haired cat, and I use this on carpets and hardwood floors. I have used this 3 times since purchasing and have to empty the dirt receptacle each time, as it has been completely full. The suction is great on this vacuum cleaner.

Easy to use and most of all I don't need to touch those yucky stuffs and there's a button that you can easily press. So far I love them! Very lightweight yet powerful. Great quality.

It is a nice unit with a lot of appealing features, and the vacuum suction power appears to be very good. I have nothing against this machine except I marvel why the manufacturer would not include a simple off-on switch to turn off the rotator brush when you are vacuuming a hardwood floor or using some of the tools. How much would adding an off-on switch costs the manufacturer? $5? $10? If I'm spending over $100 for a vacuum cleaner, that would be a minimal cost difference that would hardly deter me from buying this product. Otherwise, in the short amount of time we have owned this machine, we are very pleased with the rest of the product qualities and performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have several pets, I have 3 large dogs and 2 cats, this is the best vacuum for keeping your house clean. I tried Bissell turbo,24613, but I don't recommend it. The Bissell 2254 is the one I had for many years and then gave it to a friend in need and bought myself a brand new one. It works great! from floor to carpet and on runners. I vacuum every 2 to 3 days and when I empty the tank it looks like enough hair to cover a full-grown cat.

NEVER BUY THIS VACCUUM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned other Bissell products in the past and have loved every single one. Because of that I bought this vacuum over a Dyson and was unbelievably disappointed to find that the quality of the vacuum is terrible. It is incredibly difficult to lift this vacuum as it's so heavy. When sucking Dirt the power brush at the bottom is so powerful that it doesn't even suck up the dirt it just push it back at you creating more of a mess everywhere in your house. The tubes are constantly getting clogged in an absolute pain to clear out. I received this vacuum in December as a Christmas gift and have given it a couple months to work but this vacuum just isn't worth it. I will be getting rid of it as soon as possible and going back to the old reliable Dyson. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BISSELL.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
