Frustratingly Fussy

I had a Seaco automatic espresso machine which lasted over 15 years. Philips bought Saeco so thought they could have only improved things. They didn't. They made things worse. The chute for the beans is located in the corner, which requires you to physically guide the beans to the chute or the machine ends up grinding air. (Saeco, on the other hand, logically had the chute placed in the middle). The water reservoir (like every 1-2 days) misreads as being empty (even when full) which requires you to forcefully shove the reservoir into the machine (water splashes everywhere). Approximately every week, the machine decides to throw a random error (!) which requires the machine to be cycled on/off.
When I am in a rush to make some coffee between calls at work, the ease and convenience of this flies out the window.
I have has this machine for not even a year and use it every day, It's poorly designed and fraught with issues. Not worth the price. Buy something cheaper like a Keurig or something more expensive and better made like a Jura. It's a compromise machine that isn't worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
