The machine worked fine but the coffee it makes is weak. We did see the reviews that other people mentioned that the first few cups it made weak coffee but after a few a cups it gets better. We didnt experience this after many cups being brewed over a 2 week period. We are returning it today, very disappointed in its lack of performance.

despite trying all possible brewing combinations and even experimenting with bean grinder settings, this machine does not make a very good cup of coffee. it’s… okay. apart from the noise and grinding plastic sounds, the main problem is: not enough pressure to properly make espresso. you can see the results in the discard bin; a wet mush after each brew attempt. the discarded coffee from our Phillips Baristina are whole dry ‘pucks’, similar to what is left from high-end espresso machines at a coffee shop. also, each time it is turned on, you cannot use it until it does its power on routine of lights and runs 1/2 cup of plain water through once, about 90 seconds of waiting. it also runs water through when you turn it off as well. overall, it feels cheap and i find the bad coffee experience annoying.

It was okay

I had it for a week and the best espresso I pulled was about 6.8/10. It was good but there was too much water. The frother was average. I decided a Bambino style machine was better suited for me because I need more control over all the variables

Great intro into fancy coffee

Great little coffee maker, I use it mostly for the espresso and milk frother to make lattes. Only complaint is the instruction manual is way too simple and has no words so i did not understand the warm up process at first, and i had to google the actual instruction manual to understand the water hardness settings.

Worst Ever

There’s a reason this machine is being sold for “cheap.” Because it truly is. From the first use, the machine repeatedly aborts brewing, displays the red warning triangle, and wastes coffee despite correct setup and operation. This appears to be a design or reliability issue, not user error, so I’m returning it. Bottomline: Unreliable operation that aborts brewing and wastes coffee. Don’t let them insinuate “User Error.”

I have had this exact model for about four years now. It gets used multiple times every day makes an awesome cup of coffee. This one came on sale for Boxing Day and I bought it just to have for a back up.
