This machine follows in the great Saeco tradition but builds on it with additional features and ease of use. It is in a nice modern looking package and offers a great deal of flexibility in the settings for your favourite coffee brew.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new Philips Series 1200 EP1220/04 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine. It's so easy to use. I love how you can either use coffee grind or coffee beans. It has a button to self clean. Very easy to put together. Love how it doesn't leave a mess. It is very durable and has many functions. I highly recommend this product.

Everything was well thought out and every place had a function! You most definitely want to read the Instruction book Before you start preparing your Best Espresso! After you've become efficient in using the 1200 EP 1220/04 Invite your Friends and Family over for a hot beverage! There are several options and you can make a recipe that works best for you.Then recommend what works best for you and what would work best for them when using your Philips Series 1200 EP1220/04 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine!!

The instructions were easy to follow, walked through, and easy to read. The mechine is high quality, study and strong, nice Sleek looking design. The value of this product is great, built well. I highly recommend this for espresso lovers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really struggled justifying spending this much money for a coffee machine. I don't go to coffee shops, I don't make espresso, but I truly enjoy a cup of coffee or two every day. I've always used a drip coffee maker and have a favorite brand that comes at a reasonable price. I notice a difference in drip makers, so I just know there is a difference in these automatic machines. My sister told me I have to start making espresso, but I don't need another hobby (or even thing to do) so I wanted a machine that does it all for me.
The convenience of this machine is incredible. Push on, warm up some milk, hit start. It's that easy to get a drink I really enjoy. Here's the catch for me: I like a cup of drip coffee way more! This machine has an option for a cup of coffee, but no thank you, it doesn't come close. Espresso only for me, and even then, I only use it when I want instant gratification.
I would recommend this machine for the money, but if I could go back knowing what I know now, there's got to be a machine that makes better tasting coffee, I know I would have a heck of a time pulling the trigger on something more expensive, but I would tell myself I need to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
