Finally an easy to use tripod mount for the phone

While the Peak Design Travel Tripod comes with a mount for the phone, one of the primary challenges of using it is with your phone in vertical orientation. The grip just isn't tight enough and my phone would often slowly slide down. This is a solid and secure mount for the phone that can not only be used for the tripod but can also be used with Capture and basically anything else that uses the Arca plate. For creators, this is a really key part of our arsenal.

Great with one caveat

This is a great accessory and I use it a lot but I really wish that like the Out Front Bike Mount you could flip the mount so that it was easier to take your phone off the mount if you’re mostly working in vertical video. Unfortunately Peak Design made the screw mounts a rectangle instead of square so that you can’t rotate it. It’s a great mount and I do like it a lot but I want to do a lot of vertical video and this makes it more difficult to use.

Exactly what I waited for

I've been waiting for this product for a long time: a way to connect my smartphone to my Capture Clip. And I was not disappointed! The kit is very stable, feels good and makes an excellent impression overall. In addition, the price is also quite fair. All in all, a top product for anyone who wants to carry their smartphone on a backpack strap on hikes - whether for filming or just to have their hands free.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fast, easy and secure

It so good, I actually bought a second one. One I use usually with a tripod, the other is permanently installed in my car. It works amazingly. Fast to attach, fast to detach and holds as steady and strong as it could be. Simply amazing product.
