Build Quality:
The creator-kit is well made even though the base is made out of plastic. I was surprised that PD decided to use plastic instead of machined aluminum, but this setup should hold-up well as the Creator Kit is designed for phones and small cameras and not for heavy cameras.

Functionality and Uses:
Creator Kit Functionality: The creator kit requires the usage of either Peak Design's Everyday Case or the Universal Adapter. The phone mounting side of the creator kit has cleverly placed magnets and also has the physical PD proprietary SlimLink connector. This is a very versatile and well thought out accessory.
My iPhone (with the Everyday case) satisfactorily clicks onto the Creator Kit when you take it close. The physical SlimLink connector ensures that the phone will not fall off of the Creator Kit.
The base has a built-in thumbscrew that nicely tightens up the connection with a tripod or the Capture Clip.
My uses of the Creator Kit:
My favorite use is to mount the creator kit onto the tripod. You can directly mount this on to a tripod.
If you have Peak Design’s Capture clip, you can mount the Creator Kit on it! Now, once you have that, you can then mount the Capture clip onto your belt and also onto the Peak Design hip-belt.
A very interesting use case is to mount the creator kit with the capture clip onto your backpack strap and you can then start a video as you hike in the mountains. See attached picture.
Also, the creator kit with the capture clip serves as a table stand for your phone. You could also use this as a table mounted tripod setup for selfies or group pictures.

Not in my pocket

The clip in system is very secure. The phone doesn't come off! I don't like carrying my phone in my pocket. So I adapted this system so that the clip-in base is mounted on the sternum strap of my work backpack. (If ever I want to use the creator kit, I can easily put it back together)

Innovative and ease to use

I purchased the Mobile Creator Kit to bring with me for an upcoming vacation and have spent a few weeks testing out different scenarios. I'm currently using a Pixel 7 Pro with the PD Everyday Case and they work perfectly together. Once the case is placed on the kit, it connects instantly in either portrait or landscape and I'm confident it will not fall off. The Creator Kit came with all the accessories needed to work seamlessly with my tripods and selfie sticks. It also fits neatly into the side pockets of the PD Field Pouch v2 and the PD Tech Pouch making it easy to transport while I'm out and about.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another Clip Mod

The connector base is solid. I’ll probably use this for its intended purpose sometimes but I really wanted a belt clip using Slimlink so I took a Panavise vehicle Amps mounting plate and bent it as close to a clip shape as I could. Maybe PD could integrate a clip into this kit if they don’t come out with a dedicated one. The plastic jutting out could be hinged to flip back behind for a cleaner appearance, which I might attempt. I would’ve preferred the buttons be orientated the other way but the back holes wouldn’t line up.

Great for delivery drivers

I was having trouble juggling food, keys and phone doing deliveries so I purchased this product along with separate go pro wrist mount. Has worked amazingly well in preventing the phone from being dropped.

I have wanted something like this for years, and peak design nailed it. I am kind of a crazy videographer and photographer with mobile products. So I need something strong. This makes me feel really secure that my phone won't pop off while I'm running down the street holding a tripod with my phone still attached to it. I'm always trying to get great photos, but not lose the group, or not waste too much time. So this helps me to get great shots while on the go

Holding on for dear life

I got an Everyday case and a gorilla pod thingy. I love taking pictures. This combination together with this here brilliant attachment gives me tons of great options to snap away. Snapping the phone into place is super quick thanks to the magnets and the connection is perfectly secure due to the additional clamps. Release is easy but needs a convincing amount of force. Love it!

I really like the phone mount, only issue and sometimes it is annoying is not being able to use phone in a portrait mode. I just started doing time lapses and this mount is not built to be used in portrait mode. I have tried both, iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 pro max.
