I haven't used it that much yet, but I'm sure I will much more in the future! Again, well done PD! Something very practical, yet very simple made. You don't need to read a 20 page manual, but can instead mount it immediately and try out for yourself. I will be using it mostly with the Capture. Solid, sturdy, well worth the money.

Useful and functional kit!

I was hesitant to get this initially due to price, but since I’m getting the everyday iphone case I decided to give it a try. It’s not just a mobile creator kit, it’s a secure phone clip (esp. when paired with capture clip). I use it to clip on my belt, I use it as photography/videography tool, and as a desk phone holder when paired with tiny tripod. Very versatile!

Love the Mobile system but…

This is single handed the best mobile phone holder for your filming with an iPhone (as well as your car, boat, head or just about anywhere) If only they made a connector that attached the phone magnetically to the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 gimble and my life would be complete. I have faith that the genius’s at Peak Design are already onto it

Fast mount

Loving and rocking this mount since I got it. Solid build, works perfectly with my PD Travel Tripod if needed (I didn't need that yet), and works great with my Manfrotto Pixi mini tripod. The mounting/removing is super fast thanks to the Slim Link system. If there are any downsides to this product: no cold shoe mount (I rarely need one anyway so I'm not bothered by this) and the Slim Link system only works with a Peak Design case. I do use external Moment lenses sometimes, which require a Moment case so in those situations I cannot use this mount and will have to use another bulkier one that requires more time/effort to mount/remove my phone.

This can be your phone belt mount!

I found this product unexpectedly so useful outside of its originally intended use cases. It’s already useful with a capture clip to become an instant body cam, but this combination can also serve as a phone belt mount! The SlimLink tech is so sturdy that I’ve never seen my phone dropped because of a SlimLink failure. With your phone staying out and on your side, you’ll never have your pocket occupied with your large phone or doing hand gymnastics taking in and out your phone. It’s also easier to stand and sit as you don’t have to care about your phone's location. What’s more, thanks to the beams extending from the capture clip base, your fixed phone doesn’t interfere with your clothes too much. I initially thought this Creator Kit would only see occasional uses, however, it tuned out to be one of my essentials of my every day life. Enjoy your quick fix & release your phone!

Feels Cheap

I really hate to say this but when I opened up my creator kit, I was immediately underwhelmed by the feel of the mount and how fragile it felt. The arca adapter plate I assume is made of the polycarbonate material which just feels like it won’t last long. I can understand trying to keep this light but I expected the arca adapter would be aluminum. All the knobs feel so brittle as well.
The other strange thing is that the locking knob on the arca adapter makes it very difficult to put the phone in a vertical orientation in its default configuration. However, you can just unscrew the adapter plate from the mount arm and flip it. It’s not a big deal but it’s inconvenient and feels like this is a problem that should’ve been accounted for early on in the design of this thing.
I’ve been with Peak Design since capture and when compared to that, this just feels like an engineering sample.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're disappointed the Creator Kit fell below your expectations.
In general, we tested our design extensively and believe that polycarbonate was the right material choice.
Making either ARCA mount or the arm from metal is problematic because the GoPro tabs need to deflect slightly under pressure from the thumbscrew to create the required holding torque.
Keeping the weight low and having a breakaway value for strength, especially for safety in a helmet-mounted application, was also a consideration.
And of course, if under normal use you have any strength problems using our product we are happy to replace it under warranty.
