It was great from what we used of it. To be honest we used another monitor that you don’t have to pay for and I felt just as confident about his sleep.
Works well. I enjoy being able to review old videos. The deisgn looks sleek in the room. The view is not grainy which is nice so I can see how my son is sleeping. I like that I can also see the camera from anywhere - even at work.
My wife and I purchased our first Nanit cam back in 2023 when we had our first child. We were disappointed with the performance of the previous cameras we owned so decided to go all out and get the “Cadillac of baby cameras” which I found to be Nanit based on reviews I saw. Three years later and we recently purchased our second Nanit pro and we couldn’t imagine using anything else at this point. The picture quality and app features are second to none, anything other than Nanit is simply an inferior product.
The nanit helps us keep track of nap times/wake windows by showing us when he got up the last time- I also like being able to have the background sound on my phone when I'm sleeping so I can easily wake up if the baby does. The sleep metrics are interesting although I do feel like it says the baby woke up inconsistently. Sometimes, it clocks him moving as "waking up" and sometimes it doesn't so his sleep patterns seem a little "off" in my opinion. I also wish the sound had more variety (like a brown noise instead of just the high pitch white noise) and that there was a way to manually turn it on on the camera.
I would recommend Nanit to families though! It gives me great piece of mind and I love that I can share the account with my husband.
I received the Nanit as a baby shower gift and it has honestly been a total game changer for us. As a new mom, anything that brings peace of mind is priceless—and Nanit delivers exactly that.
The sleep tracking alone is incredible. Being able to see patterns, track sleep quality, and actually understand my baby’s sleep (instead of guessing) has helped me feel so much more confident day to day. The insights around naps and nighttime sleep have made it easier to adjust our routine and celebrate those little “sleep wins” that feel huge in the newborn stage.
I also love how it supports our feeding journey. Tracking nursing sessions alongside sleep has helped me connect the dots between feeding and rest, which has made a big difference in keeping baby content and on track.
Beyond the data, the camera quality is amazing and the app is super easy to use. I can check in anytime and instantly feel reassured.
If you’re building a registry or looking for a meaningful gift—this is it. It’s not just a monitor, it’s support, insight, and peace of mind all in one 🤍
We love having the Nanit set up to check on our baby boy. We love having the app on in the background while we sleep during the night and feel confident we can hear him if he needs us in the middle of the night.
I am SO happy we chose the Nanit for our baby monitor system! It's fun to watch clips back from the night or naps and see how things went. Also, I am so tired in the night that sometimes I can't remember the timing of things, so having Nanit's activity log is very helpful. I recommend this to anyone
Used Nanit for our firstborn >2 years. Initially, it worked well. But in the past year, the app has developed a lot of bugs that make me hesitate to recommend Nanit to others. On the "video history" tab, the time stamp is frustratingly nonfunctional (because the 2nd digit of the hour and minute are cut off). The "video history" tab also frequently freezes if you try to scroll or rewind the video. The Nanit almost never detects motion or sound when in the flex stand mode. The camera function also does not capture the full screen when in flex stand mode. We recently got a 2nd Nanit for our secondborn, and the app won't even let us properly adjust the crib zone (it only displays a fraction of the crib for adjustment, despite the camera being set up to view the entire crib).
