I've been eying the Nanit Display ever since it came out as it was the one thing I wish this system had when I got it for my first child in 2024. While it's great to see the display on my phone - it's so much easier to have it up on a screen while I'm doing something else in the home like working on the computer or cooking in the kitchen. As we're expecting baby #2 the split screen feature is great to keep an eye on the little ones as they rest. High quality video and easy to use.
I love this baby monitor and wholeheartedly would recommend it to any parent! It gives me peace of mind and I love that you can even travel with it! I strongly recommend all new parents to have this as a must before your baby arrives! The only thing I wish it did, is I wish when the camera is on the travel stand, it would still capture the data as if it were on the main stand. Other than that I think it is a great product!
The monitor constantly needs to do updates and the battery dies within hours. Notifications are severely delayed sometimes. I put my baby down for a nap over two hours ago and the app still doesn’t show she took a nap. Not a premium product.
Being able to have video feed of the baby is a huge relief, when it works. The amount of freezes and connectivity issues is ridiculous especially when our wifi is 500GB fiber optic. Constantly have to reset the camera. Also the required subscription for playback and moment capturing is terrible, everyone wants to charge you a subscription for everything nowadays. No subscription required for the livestream though, which is mostly what we use anyways.
We love the at home nanit baby monitor. We tried a few different monitors before we invested in the nanit system. I wanted a system that allowed us to few from our phones while away, but a monitor that was easy to access and use at home without being tied to our cellphones. The monitor is great, but my only complaint is the battery drains quick. We usually just make sure it’s pulled in at night, and when we aren’t using it. Other than that, it’s a great addition to the nanit family.
The camera quality is great. I have a Nanit for my first child and the camera quality is still good. On this new Nanit the temperature doesn’t always show up though - which is frustrating. But my largest complaint is that I need to pay a SECOND subscription service for my second camera. Which is truly unfortunate.
The nanit camera is good quality and we love the wall mount and the fact that we can both view the feed on our phones, plus get notifications. However, the fact that you need to pay for a monthly/annual subscription just to get the video history or activity history is ridiculous. Additionally, without the subscription, you can only have 2 caregivers/viewers, so if you and your spouse are already on there then the only way to add a babysitter/grandparent is to pay for the subscription. That is the main reason for my low rating. There are multiple other options out there that don't require subscriptions for BASIC expectations on a baby cam.
