[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate to receive the Nanit Baby Monitor through the Stellar product testing panel for testing, and overall I really enjoyed using it.
What I loved most was the flexibility of the camera placement. Since my son’s bassinet is in our room, being able to position the camera directly above him was incredibly convenient. The video quality is excellent, with little to no lag, and I especially appreciated that it comes with a dedicated tablet, so I don’t have to rely on my phone or an iPad to monitor him.
One downside for me was the breathing band. While it worked as intended, I personally felt more comfortable with the Owlet sock system. That may simply be because I used the Owlet with my other children and am more familiar with it. I was also surprised that a subscription is required to access many of the monitor’s features. Although a three-month free trial is included, I prefer products that don’t require an ongoing monthly or yearly fee just to use core functions.
Overall, I love the setup, camera quality, and included tablet. The Nanit would be even better if more features were available without a subscription.

Nanit Smart Baby Monitor

My wife and I are healthcare professionals, so there are days when we're out of the house for 14+ hours at a time. I can honestly say that I’m in love with our Nanit system. Being able to open the app while I’m at work and see my little one sleeping soundly helps me feel connected to her even when I can’t be there in person.
One of my favorite features is the breathing motion monitoring. As a parent, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your baby is breathing safely. When our daughter is sick, having that extra layer of monitoring provides tremendous peace of mind. The sleep dashboard is another feature we use daily, helping us better understand her sleep patterns and routines.
The Nanit has made parenting much easier. I no longer have to guess whether my baby is awake or worry about not hearing her. Whether I’m using the standalone monitor in another room or checking in from my phone at work, I always know how she’s doing.
Setup was incredibly simple. Downloading the app and following step-by-step instructions made the process quick and stress free. The stand and monitor were assembled within minutes.
Another feature we love is shared access. My spouse can see exactly what I’m seeing, and we often send each other screenshots and clips of the adorable ways our daughter falls asleep. The standalone monitor has also been great for our nanny, I can simply hand it to her when she arrives, allowing her to easily keep an eye on our baby during nap time.
Overall, the Nanit has given our family peace of mind, improved our confidence as parents, and helped us stay connected to our daughter no matter where we are. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a reliable, easy to use baby monitoring system.

Best Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Smart Baby Monitor System is hands down the best baby monitor on the market! I love that I can download the app and have multiple caregivers use it to monitor our baby. This has helped tremendously to make it simple for myself, my husband, our nanny, and even grandparents to monitor the baby when needed. My favorite feature is that it tells you when the baby has fallen asleep and how long they have been asleep for. This helps me have an idea of how long baby has napped and slept at night. The camera gives off an amazingly clear view and great crisp sound too. All the interfaces from the app to the actual handheld monitor are user friendly, simple, and easy to use. The handheld monitor is gorgeous with a massive screen and built in stand so you can view your baby with ease. Everything about Nanit is simple and easy and this includes the setup! The manual gave easy instructions and within minutes I had everything up and running! It has some pretty amazing features specifically that it keeps track of memories! Babies grow so fast and to be able to look back on my baby's morning wake ups etc over the days/months is adorable! Thanks Nanit for creating such an amazing product and thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to test it out. Look no further this is the only monitor you need.

Game changer for newborn parents

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As newborn parents, we have the constant urge to keep eyes on the baby. Ever since installing my Nanit monitor, I’m comforted that I can check on her from my phone quietly and in good quality. Nanit keeps track of the details for me like how long she sleeps, when she wakes up, even when she coughs! It’s also great to use the breathing band to monitor respirations (especially with a new baby).
Using the Nanit system actually gave me the confidence to start putting her in her bassinet for naps instead of holding her all day; even more so to start putting her in there awake to start building independent sleep skills! I love the Birds Eye view where we can see her and all her surroundings and that both parents can view it even if we’re not nearby, or use our Nanit tablet to view continuously.
The ability to watch playback videos and read all the data collection on the dashboard is INCREIDBLE! It helps to discern what noises she makes we actually need to react to so that we don’t interrupt her sleep prematurely.
Bluetooth set up is pretty easy but the wi-fi connection did struggle in collecting data for the first few days but it fixed itself and has been smooth sailing since. We love the floor stand because it was easy assemble without mounting or measuring and will be easy to transition into her own bedroom later. I give 4 stars because while I love the subscription plan’s features, it’s only on an annual basis, and the wi-fi can be a little spotty or lagging depending on your connection.
We’ve loved using the Nanit system to give us peace of mind and learn more about ours baby’s sleep and it’ll continue to be a game changer through regressions, sleep training and teething! Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor.

Peace of mind

I sleep so much better now knowing I will get notified if my baby girl wakes up rather than worrying all night. Absolutely love that the wires are hidden and I don’t have to worry about her grabbing them. I have more time to do things like clean up the house or just relax and read while my daughter sleeps. The app is amazing! I was given this baby monitor to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but I would absolutely it recommend for new parents.

Impressive Features for a Baby monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've really enjoyed using this baby monitor. The packaging was top notch, and the large monitor screen is great quality. I also love that I can check on my baby using either the monitor or my phone. It makes it easy to see if he's still sleeping or awake without getting out of bed.
The feature I use most is the feeding and nursing log. It's so helpful for keeping track of feedings throughout the day. I also love that it comes with a breathing band for extra peace of mind. The camera and monitor quality have been excellent.
Setup was pretty easy overall. My partner helped assemble the floor stand, but I was able to do everything else myself. The only thing I wish was different is that the camera is mostly tied to the crib or bassinet area when using the stand.
This monitor has helped me feel more calm as a new parent by making it easy to monitor my baby and track routines. My only other complaints are that you have to sign up for a subscription trial to access the camera, and the app has Nanit ads each time you open it. Overall, it has been a very useful monitor and I’m thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor.

Our favorite baby product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby monitor through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I could not love it more. Setup was super easy, and we had it up and running in no time.
One of my favorite things about the Nanit is being able to open the app and check on my son anytime, even when I'm not home and he's with another caregiver. It gives me so much peace of mind to be able to do quick check-ins. I tell everyone that my favorite TV channel is the Nanit app because I love watching my son in his crib.
We also use the two-way audio all the time. Sometimes when he wakes up during a nap or in the middle of the night, all he wants is for me to sing him a song. Being able to do that through the monitor without physically being in the room has saved us from a lot of unnecessary crib visits. It's become such a routine that he'll point up at the camera and say, "Mama, sing!"
My favorite feature, though, is the video playback. It's wonderful for capturing sweet moments and sharing them with family. One of my favorite clips is of our son singing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" to himself in his crib at 3 a.m. in adorable toddler gibberish.
But the playback feature ended up being valuable in a much more important way. One night, my son woke up struggling to breathe, and we rushed him to the emergency room. We were shaken up and scared and had no clue what was going on. We were able to show the doctor exactly what had happened on the recording before we arrived. They were able to see the distress he was in and hear his barky cough, which allowed them to immediately diagnose him with croup.
Moments like that are why I appreciate this monitor so much. Beyond the day-to-day convenience, it gives me confidence and peace of mind as a parent. It's one of the few baby products that has truly become part of our everyday routine, and I can't imagine being without it.
