Works like a charm

The Nanit monitor gives us peace of mind as it alerts us to any changes going on with our sleeping baby. We can always check in to see how she's doing and it alerts us to anything we need to know.

Nanit is for Grandparents too. . . .

As a care giver to my granddaughter who was born in March, I got to discover Nanit. Over thirty years ago as a first time mother we had our ears to monitor baby sleeping . . and a walkie talkie like audio only device that shared frequency with our neighbors so we were never sure if it was our baby or theirs crying. Having the white noise, audio and visual components all in one device with notifications on movement and breathing is an invaluable upgrade. I particular like the breathing rate to help guide if baby is in a light or deep sleep pattern. There is alot that will never change about caring for babies - providing love and empathy and safe keeping as top priorities - but Nanit has provided an excellent service for sleep time monitoring.

Beware! Difficult product

Setting up the app is increasingly more complicated every time you have to do it. The connectivity sucks. When it is done loading the video stream, it shows video for 15 seconds then loads again. Waste of money for an incredibly expensive item.

Had some problems then broke

Had some issues with the camera intermittently disconnecting from wifi network. Usually would reconnect but sometimes device had to be re-paired to the network. Quite annoying when this happens in the middle of the night while baby was sleeping . Ultimately the camera stopped working 1 year and 1 month after purchase so it was out of warranty.

Security through Visualization

Nanit is so valuable for new babies. It allows visualization of an infant to child in bed. It also has many other features such as monthly photos, birthday photos and more.
