Split screen is a must!

Love Nanit! Bought the new smart baby monitor system with my second baby and the split camara feature is a must with 2 kids. Also, really like the new separate screen to keep close by instead on just our phones.
The idea of being able to watch and capture memories of your baby sounds amazing. However, i’ve quite a few issues with incorrect nightly insights, camera “losing connection” and the breathing band not registering resulting in many false monitor cancellations. Unfortunately I am disappointed with the performance given the price of the system as it well as the memberships. Especially when having to add additional memberships per camera.
The Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor is one of the most advanced baby monitors on the market, offering a premium, tech-driven experience for parents who want more than just a basic camera. It delivers excellent 1080p HD video quality with a clear bird’s-eye view of the crib, even at night, making it easy to check on your baby without disturbance. What really sets it apart is its smart sleep tracking and breathing monitoring features, which use computer vision (with special sleepwear) to provide detailed insights into your baby’s sleep patterns without the need for attached sensors. The companion app is feature-rich, offering real-time alerts for motion, sound, and milestones like when your baby starts standing, along with the ability to view multiple cameras. However, many of the most useful features require an ongoing subscription after the initial trial, which can add to the overall cost. Since it relies entirely on Wi-Fi, performance can vary depending on your internet connection, and occasional lag or connectivity issues may occur. Additionally, the camera lacks remote pan and tilt functionality, so proper placement is important during setup. Overall, the Nanit Pro is an excellent choice for parents who value detailed data, smart features, and a modern monitoring system, but it may feel expensive and unnecessary for those who prefer a simpler, no-subscription solution.
I'm excited to have the nanit monitor because it really helps me calm my anxiety around sleeping (particularly if I am sleeping while baby is sleeping). I love that there are so many features- especially telling me about awake windows while monitoring. It would be nice if the subscription was just included in the cost of the monitor, since it is already an expensive system, but that is my only complaint so far.
I am blown away at how amazing the nanit is. We have the Camera + 8" Display and the sleeping sack which gives us a huge relief at night. This keeps this first time mom relaxes and able to sleep without watching the monitor all night. We are so obsessed and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Nanit for all you do!
The video quality is incredibly clear both day and night, which makes it easy to check in without disturbing my baby. But what really sets Nanit apart is the sleep tracking and insights. Being able to understand patterns, see how long my baby is actually sleeping, and get helpful tips has made me feel so much more confident as a parent.
The app is intuitive and easy to use, and I appreciate how seamlessly everything works together. It doesn’t feel overwhelming.
This camera is not worth the money and would not recommend to anyone. It has always had connection issues for me but it just died on me after a year and a half of use. The temperature and humidity have never been accurate. The only trouble shooting help I’ve been given is to just restart everything but it’s not always possible while the bay is sleeping and that’s when you realize there is an issue. And lastly the subscription is an overly expensive add on. The sleep tracking was never accurate with telling me when the baby actually fell asleep or woke up. The insights are common sense info. The milestones section is a joke and adds to the fact it’s a waste of money.
The one item everyone told me I needed ( They Were Right)

As a detail-oriented (and honestly a bit anxious) first-time mom, I did a lot of research before choosing Nanit. I was actually expecting my sister to pass hers down to me after using it with her son, but she didn’t… and now I understand why, she still uses it five years later!
In the end, I’m really happy I got my own, especially the newer version with the screen. I love not having to rely on my phone to check on my baby.
Out of all the recommendations I received from friends, family, and other moms, this was the one item that everyone agreed was a must-have for a baby registry.
It truly gives me so much peace of mind and has made me feel much more confident going into motherhood.
