Paying for a subscription for a baby camera in 2026 is not it. All the payed features should be standard or else this thing is just an expensive webcam
We recently purchased the Nanit baby monitor system and it has completely changed the way we approach sleep and peace of mind as new parents. The video quality is incredibly clear—even at night—and the overhead view gives a full, unobstructed look at our baby’s crib, which feels much safer than traditional angled monitors.
What really sets Nanit apart is that it’s not just a camera—it’s a full system. The sleep tracking and breathing motion monitoring have been game changers for us. Instead of constantly checking in and worrying, we can rely on real-time insights and wake-up summaries that actually help us understand our baby’s sleep patterns.
The app is intuitive, setup was surprisingly easy, and we love that multiple caregivers can securely access the feed when needed. It genuinely feels like Nanit took the stress and guesswork out of those early months.
Yes, it’s a premium product, but for us the peace of mind, data insights, and overall reliability have made it absolutely worth it. We recommend it to every new parent we know.
I will die on the hill that nanit is the best monitor to ever exist. The quality, the ability to see your babies when you aren’t home, the peace of mind of it all. I have 2, one for each baby and I would never use anything else!
Overall, it’s nice to not have to use my phone all the time to pull up my kids monitors or when we have a grandparent watching the kids, it’s an easy solution for them too. However, the battery life is not great and it dies pretty quickly. There’s also a lot of lag that happens too, which could be at the fault of our internet, but I’m not too sure. My main complaint though is that the screen, even at the dimmest of settings, is too bright to leave on at night. We’ve had to result to turning the screen off and just going off sound, which is fine, but I prefer to see my son. I would just use an iPad instead if you’re contemplating on buying this product.
Subscriptions after a camera purchase this expensive is a little excessive. Not too worth given the quality and recordings not being saved is not worth.
