Love this camera. It notifies

Love this camera. It notifies for any and everything just so I can keep an eye out even if I’m not home and baby is at home with her dad. I can get more things done while she is sleep or in her pack n play.

I’ve been using the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor for a little while now, and overall I’m really happy with it. The video quality is super clear, even at night, which gives me peace of mind when checking on my baby. I also like the app because it’s easy to use and lets me quickly check in without any issues. One of my favorite features is the breathing monitoring and sleep insights. It helps me understand my baby’s patterns better and feel more confident as a parent. Setup was pretty straightforward, and the design looks clean in the nursery. If I had to point out one thing, the subscription for some features can feel a bit pricey, but the functionality itself is solid. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a reliable and high-quality baby monitor.

I give it 3 stars only because I watched children who have had this, and ultimately made me decide to get it for my own child after giving birth because I loved it so much. Unfortunately, mine is constantly putting the wrong report up under activity and on a daily basis having to delete and report activity for it being false. Becoming frustrating. The reading of the breathe wear also gets lost, even though he’s centered in the crib and not much movement. Which then sets off the loud noise of it being disconnected because it can’t be read, on the camera which wakes him. Internet works everywhere else in my house fine and haven’t had an issue, but connection is constantly being lost and the loading sign is on repeat (of course in the middle of the night which causes me to lose sleep afraid it won’t be reading, even though it says the alarm is still active, I just don’t trust it). I don’t know- I feel like I just got a bad camera because I spent a full year loving this at the home where I nannied.

It's great to have the baby monitor just on your phone at the time when we purchased. After they came out with the home system which we don't have, I wish we would have purchased it because it would have been better. .
There are a few things that I wish the system did. It doesn't handle a mesh Network very well and constantly produces static and then randomly makes it sound like your speaker on your phone is exploding.
I wish you could keep your video on at night like you can, but it automatically shuts off notifications for that night or there is a snooze button for notifications. It takes a few extra clicks and if both Mom and Dad have the phone and app they both get notifications throughout the night even when they are in the same room.
Using the breathing bands is a challenge If you don't use the swaddles from the company. We haven't used that feature as often as we thought we would.
Overall a very good baby monitor and I have no regrets on purchasing. We've had friends that have regretted their monitors and have asked us about the one we use.

We love our Nanit. It has given us peace of mind in the early days, snd now acts as an amazing monitor. We love having it connected to our phones. We just purchased a second camera for our newborn.
