Everyone in the house is loving it. Warms Up faster then expected (10 min) and is holding up to heavy daily use by four adults.Really enjoy the temperature and shot volume controls. Consistency is pretty good so far although you have to practice grind settings whenever you change beans, which we do constantly. But that’s true of most machines I think. I find getting the extraction right with the single shot filter especially tricky. Milk steamer is pretty quick. Overall, very pleased. Hope it lasts as long as our Barista Express (6 years).
I've had a dual boiler machine for close to 8 years now. It's a solid machine with solid support from Breville. There have been a couple of times I've needed to call customer service and each time I've called, the representatives I've spoken with have been polite and helpful. It's probably near impossible to perform by oneself all the maintenance needed to keep such a machine running indefinitely, and after five years my machine finally broke down. Breville was very understanding and allowed me to ship it back for out-of-warranty service. I can't say enough good things about the customer service, they really rocked. At a time when everybody is working from home and wanting to make a good cuppa coffee, and either wanting to buy a new machine or get theirs back up and going, I so appreciate being able to get help when needed. Breville is a great company and I for one won't hesitate buying their products in the future. The Dual Boiler is a big investment, but I'd encourage you to make the leap, and save $$ on retail coffee. My advice: get this machine, and some good, freshly roasted espresso beans, and a burr grinder and enjoy the heck out of a great coffee whenever you want one. Your 2021 commute from the bedroom to the kitchen will get all the more exciting!
This is a great espresso machine. I had some leaking problems and had to send it back for repair. I got told it was not fixable so got a brand new one to replacey 18 month old one. Customer support is also excellent
