Best decision ever!

We bought our Breville Dual Boiler last December after deciding to upgrade from a cheaper Sunbeam Compact Barista coffee machine. Since then, we never turned back as we continue to enjoy our coffee much better than usual. Highly highly recommended! Next goal: improve my latte art! Hahaha! 🙂

Our machine sadly only lasted 25 months before becoming unrepairable. I think that's a very short life span for this price category. We did empty the boiler during the machine's life and it still got a leak.
I don't recommend an appliance as your espresso maker, rather a machine which can be fixed if there is something wrong.
There are plenty of professional options for a great espresso out there in this price point.
The coffee the machine made tasted fine, I previously had Swiss brand as well as an Italian one which had less issues than this model.

I’m enjoyed using Breville Dual Boiler so much. It works almost like the commercial espresso machine - you can extract your espresso and steam milk at the same time. It’s really good for latte art practitioner. The only disadvantage is it takes a bit too long (around 1 minute) to steam the milk until it reaches to the right temperature (65 c) and because of that there’s always milk stain at the wand all the time. Anyway, the quality of the foam is pretty good for latte art.

Had this machine for only 2 years and now the water overheats and temperature gauge shows high temperature. Should last way longer than that for this price

The machine I received is a replacement of the one I bought about a year and a half ago. That said, this machine was clearly different. My guess is that the first machine, which was always slightly glitchy, was a refurbished machine I bought when Breville was still trying to catch up with orders from being down during the pandemic. The old machine apparently had a bad boiler, so they gave me a new one rather than trying to fix the old one. Kudos to Breville for that. The new one works more like I would have expected. That said, my only real complaint is that it's a bit noisy when in extraction mode. Otherwise it's very easy to manipulate and performs consistently.
